More than just an upgrade on previous models, the ddrum5 is a completely new system leveraging cutting-edge technology and production techniques to provide next-level performance when it comes to audio performance, sample dumps, and playback features. Boasting 32 GB sound memory, and 44.1 kHz sample rate with 24-bit D/A converters, the ddrum5 is amongst the most powerful and versatile digital percussion systems available. 15 universal trigger inputs – configured as kick, snare with rim, 4 toms with rim, hi-hat, and 3 cymbals – accept the majority of triggers based on Piezo- and switch technology, representing the ideal solution for drummers looking for top-notch studio sounds, as well as acoustic drum tones. Additionally, loops are freely assignable to any trigger input, allowing players to trigger and play along. Users can also take advantage of ddrum’s Kit- and Sound Editor (Windows and Mac) to download sounds and loops and create their own kits.
Further connectivity is provided via 6 Outputs, Line In, MIDI In/Out, and an SD Card slot. The Line-In socket enables drummers to play along to .WAV files or metronome. A tablet-mounting bracket provides easy access to a digital mixer from the ddrum5. Power to the unit is supplied by a multi-plug AC power supply 100-240V.
