artist biography
Karl (Kåge) Gustaf Ludvig Liefwendal, was born October 2 , 1907 in Engelbrekt, Stockholm. He was a Swedish painter, journalist and composer.

After graduating in Strängnäs in 1928, Liefwendal first pursued music studies while periodically studying art at Otte Sköld's målarskola (painting school) in Stockholm from 1929 to 1933 and with Othon Friesz at Maison Watteau in Paris from 1933 to 1934. During this time in Paris, he took a strong impression of fellow Swedish artist Dick Beer (1893-1938) who had spent many years studying and painting in France.

Liefwendal  made his exhibition debut in a group show in Strängnäs in 1935 and then participated in Strängnäs konstförenings (Art Association) exhibitions in 1936.

Liefwendal exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. Select solo shows include three exhibitions in Strängnäs and one at the Eskilstuna Art Museum in 1955. He produced some striking public works including altar paintings for Tofteryd and Åker churches in Småland and glass mosaics for Folkets hus in Åker. He ran his own painting school in Strängnäs 1945–1955. Liefwendal is represented at the Eskilstuna Art Museum and in the collection of the Södermanland County Council.

He was an art and music reporter for Eskilstuna-Kuriren  between 1931 and 1934, Nya Dagligt Allehanda from 1942 ti 1944 and Tidningen Folket from 196. Liefwendal published the magazine Vår Konst from 1945 to 1949 and was editor of Svenskt konstnärsgalleri I and II in 1948. He was curator at Strängnäs art association from 1946 to 1953.

Liefwendal was also a pianist and composer. He composed romances and choral works, was conductor in Strängnäs' men's choir from 1961 and Strängnäs' ladies choir from 1963. He gave lectures for the Folkbildningsförbundet.

Liefwendal  passed away on August 21, 1982 in Strängnäs.

Perfect fit and great quality for the price
This suit was perfect for my son. The fit was exactly as expected. The quality is excellent for the price—it feels well made and durable enough to last through multiple wears. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all. It also looks really good on him. Clean, polished, and great for formal events like weddings or parties. Overall, a fantastic value with great quality and a great fit.

Missing items
Color: Sky Blue, Size: 16
Was missing the tie that is supposed to come with it and it looked like it was tried on and thrown back in the bag. The sleeve to the jacket were rolled up.

Excellent Quality, Great Value, Great Look. Highly Recommend
Very well-made, there are some minor imperfections in the cuff sewing that aren't really noticeable when on. Liner is quality, color is spot on, and it fits true to size. If you're in the market for a toddler blazer and pants, you can't go wrong with this one in terms of quality, price, and the cut is perfect for a very polished look. There were a few loose strings to be clipped, but everything was correctly sewn and well. None of them affected the seam strength. The pants have a button and elastic on the waistband to make adjusting the waist size easier.
