Presenting this beautiful passport cover accentuated with the image of The Old Temple from 1787/88 by French artist, Hubert Robert. Robert traveled through Italy for over a decade and painted many landscapes and views from his journies. Interestingly, just painting regular landscapes wasn't as interesting to Robert. He specialized in what's known as "capricci", or fantasized landscape/architectural idealizations. He wanted to capture a specific effect versus get tiny details correct, and he became known very well as one of France's landscape artists and garden designers. Robert completed thousands of works throughout his lifetime. What a story. Your passport cover will tell it.
