Manfred Trojahn was invited to the Villa Massimo in Rome in 1979/80 to work on his Second String Quartet, which had been commissioned by Radio France. What initially seemed like a golden opportunity for a young composer turned out to be a difficult period in Trojahn's life, and this was reflected in the quartet, which moves restlessly between emotional outbursts, stasis, brusqueness, and moments of almost tender lyricism. The work documents a young composer's search for an individual musical language in the early days of what we would now call the postmodern period. Manfred Trojahn was not interested in atonal dogma; the tonal relationships in his music reveal many sources of inspiration, including Romantic composers. "Hommage à L.v.B." is an ironic tribute to the Classical tradition, while in "Abgesang" [Farewell], Trojahn brings together diverse elements from earlier sections of the piece: restless fluttering motifs, elegiac cantilena passages, and bizarre clusters. To prepare this production of what is for him a very personal work, the composer worked closely with the Minguet Quartet, mezzo soprano Tanja Ariane Baumgartner, and clarinetist Thorsten Johanns. The fruits of their efforts can be heard in this impressive recording.

Love these pants. They are multifaceted when it comes to being part of a casual look or dressier look! The fit is great and so far the zipper holds, it does not slide down throughout the day. They also wash and dry well! I purchased as many of them as I could before they showed out of stock! When you find something good, better stock up!

The perfect casual work pants!

I love these pants! I used the size chart to order per my measurements and it worked out perfectly. I am 5’5” 180lbs and ordered size 16 in Camel. These are more on the casual side, but with the right styling they could be dressed up. They are soft with a brushed cotton feel. They have just enough stretch to add to comfort, but not so stretchy that they lose their shape or don’t retain initial structure. I wore them for a full work day the required a lot of walking, bending, and squatting.
They are just a couple inches longer on me than I’d like, but most cropped/ankle style pants are. I didn’t notice prior to ordering they don’t have a button. No worries - the zipper stays up and makes for a flattering and different look. I plan to order again in a couple different colors. I’m shocked at how good the quality considering I only paid $14 for them.

Very shirt and ugly zipper

Way too short and zipper is large and ugly. I'm only 5'3" and these still looked like capris. The zipper was more obvious and unattractive. Style otherwise was cute casual, but overall not OK.

Disappointed

I initially loved these pants when I first took them out of the bag and put them on. They fit like a glove and I also loved the capri length. After washing once, the legs of the pants became so loose and baggy. Very disappointed. Also, there is a stain on the leg that became more visible. What on earth happened to these pants??

Comfortable pants, flattering, appear durable, run big, adorable pink color.
Size: 8, Color: Mauve
These pants were surprisingly comfortable and flattering. I got a size US 8, though I normally wear a 10 or 12. An interesting thing to note is that while Amazon's size recommendation was 12, the size 8 was highlighted to add to my basket. The size 8 in the pink was on sale for less than $9, where the size 12 was much more. Reading other reviews, I saw that they ran at least one or two sizes big for a lot of people, so I went ahead and go the size 8 and am glad I did. I am 5'5" and the hit right at the bottom of my ankle when standing and about an inch and a half above my ankle when sitting. The color is really nice; they wash and dry with few wrinkles. The zip only front means that they need to fit well. I ended up ordering the orange rust color in the same size and it was slightly too tight in the waist, so I had to send them back. This pair, however fit perfectly. I am very pleased with them, especially for the price. The material is heavy and they appear to be durable. I am not an apple shape, so I usually do not have an issue with pants being too tight in the waist, and I will say that, I tried these back on the same day I tried the orange ones on and these still fit the same, so there is some difference in cut between colors, but that may or may not apply to all sizes. Really like the pink pair.
