Unlock enterprise-grade reliability even after your initial warranty with HPE Pointnext Tech Care Critical featuring Comprehensive Defective Material Retention. This post-warranty, 1-year maintenance plan is built for demanding environments where uptime matters as much as budget. Designed to protect ProLiant blade configurations such as the BL490c G7 Svc, this service delivers 24/7 coverage, rapid on-site response, and complete parts and labor support. The inclusion of defective material retention gives you enhanced visibility into failure analysis, enabling faster root-cause determination and smarter maintenance decisions. With this plan, your IT team can focus on delivering business value while HPE handles the heavy lifting of hardware upkeep, ensuring your critical workloads stay available when they matter most.

  • Comprehensive Defective Material Retention: This program goes beyond standard service by allowing the customer to retain defective materials for analysis and testing. This feature supports robust post-incident investigation, accelerates problem resolution, and helps you meet compliance and audit requirements. By keeping the failed components, your internal teams and partners can conduct in-depth failure analysis, identify recurring bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement across your infrastructure. The result is a deeper understanding of hardware behavior under your unique workloads, which translates to more informed maintenance planning and fewer surprise outages.
  • Post-Warranty Protection with 1-Year Coverage: Even after the original warranty expires, your critical systems remain protected. This 1-year Tech Care plan provides a predictable, fixed-cost path to sustain hardware reliability without needing to re-architect budgets for urgent replacements. It’s tailor-made for organizations that want to extend professional support without gaps, ensuring that mission-critical BL490c G7 Svc environments stay safeguarded against unexpected failures and escalating maintenance costs. You gain continuity for your operations, procurement planning ease, and a smoother path to future upgrades.
  • 24x7 On-Site Support with 6-Hour Repair Window: The service delivers round-the-clock assistance and a guaranteed on-site repair timeframe, aiming to minimize downtime during critical incidents. With a dedicated 6-hour repair window, qualified technicians are dispatched to your location to diagnose, repair, and restore hardware, reducing the time your systems spend in a degraded state. This response capability is especially valuable for production workloads, data-processing campaigns, and other time-sensitive operations that require rapid recovery from hardware faults. The on-site model eliminates the need for remote fixes for many issue types, delivering tangible reductions in mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • On-Site Maintenance and Parts & Labor Coverage: This plan covers both parts and labor, ensuring you won’t face surprise invoices when hardware needs replacement or service actions. On-site maintenance means a trained HP technician will arrive at your data center or location to perform diagnostics, component replacement, and validated testing. The bundled coverage reduces administrative overhead, speeds up service delivery, and provides a clear, predictable cost structure for budgeting. This integrated approach is ideal for IT teams seeking reliable, end-to-end support without juggling multiple vendors or separate maintenance agreements.
  • 1-Year Scope with Enterprise-Grade Convenience: A finite, defined term gives you clarity and leverage for strategic planning. The 1-year duration is structured to align with budgeting cycles and major project timelines, while still delivering robust support for critical hardware. The contract is designed to complement your existing IT strategy by ensuring steady access to skilled technicians, proven service processes, and a strong service level expectation. For organizations growing a data center or sustaining a blade-centric environment like BL490c G7 Svc, this plan offers a dependable foundation for sustained performance and uptime.

compact surrounds that blend well with the right setup
Size: 4” Woofer
I picked up the Klipsch R‑40M as part of a full 5.1 system built around the R‑50M fronts and the R‑50C center. My original plan was to use another pair of R‑50M speakers in the back, but they simply didn’t fit in the rear cabinet space I have. The R‑40M ended up being the only model that fit comfortably, so they became my surround channels. In terms of build quality, they feel solid and consistent with the rest of the Reference Next‑Gen line. The copper woofers and updated horn design give them the same visual identity as the larger models, which helps the whole system look cohesive. They’re compact enough to place in tighter spaces without compromising too much on performance. Sonically, the R‑40M does a respectable job as a surround speaker. Effects are clear, directional cues are easy to follow, and they integrate smoothly with the more powerful R‑50M fronts. That said, they are noticeably less powerful than the R‑50M, so you need to spend a little time balancing your levels. Once I bumped their channel trim a bit and adjusted the distance settings, the rear soundstage locked in nicely and felt much more even. They won’t deliver the same fullness or dynamic punch as the larger models, but for rear channels that’s usually not a deal breaker. What matters is clarity and consistency, and the R‑40M handles both well. Movies with active surround mixes feel immersive, and ambient effects wrap around the room without calling attention to the speakers themselves. If you’re building a system where space is limited in the back, the R‑40M is a practical and capable choice. Just be prepared to fine tune your calibration so they match the output of the bigger speakers up front. Once dialed in, they round out a 5.1 setup very effectively.

Great Bang for the Buck!
Size: 5.25” Woofer
These R50 Studio Monitors are worth every penny. One could easily spend a heck of a lot more to get less. Have been a pro audio engineer my entire life. These monitors kick out clean, solid bass and accurate highs. Klipsch did a excellent job designing these monitors. Perfect for smail spaces where fidelity is critical. If you wall mount these, make sure you leave at least a 1.5 inch air gap between the back of the monitor and the wall. These units are sweet.
