Frequently asked questions

What is included in the Veritas eDiscovery Platform Capacity Suite with Essential Support?

The package includes an On-Premise Subscription Conversion License with Unlimited Collection Users, 1 TB Processing capacity, Unlimited Legal Hold Users, and a 4-year license term. Essential Support covers software updates, patches, and priority assistance to keep deployments secure and performant. It is offered under Veritas Corporate Licensing Program (CLP) pricing for enterprise buyers, delivering predictable costs and scalable capacity for large legal teams.

Is this license strictly on-premise?

Yes. This offering is designed as an on-premise deployment, giving organizations full control over data, security, and infrastructure. The subscription conversion license enables continued use of on-premise capabilities under corporate pricing terms, aligning with enterprise governance and audit requirements.

What does Unlimited Collection User mean?

Unlimited Collection User means there is no cap on the number of users who can participate in data collection activities, processing tasks, and early-case assessment. This supports large investigations, multiple legal matters, and cross-functional teams without incremental per-user licensing costs.

What scenarios benefit most from 1 TB of processing?

1 TB of processing capacity is ideal for organizations handling substantial data volumes across diverse data sources. It accelerates ingestion, de-duplication, indexing, and analytics essential for timely eDiscovery workflows, reducing the time-to-insight during investigations and litigation.

Can I renew or upgrade after the 4-year term?

The current offering specifies a 4-year license term under the CLP framework. After expiration, renewal or upgrade options are typically handled through Veritas CLP programs and licensing agreements. Enterprises should consult their Veritas account representative for renewal paths, pricing adjustments, and potential migrations.

What kind of support is included with Essential Support?

Essential Support typically includes access to software updates, security patches, and technical assistance to address critical issues. It is designed to ensure patch cadence, fix responsiveness, and ongoing platform stability, which is crucial for maintaining defensible eDiscovery operations and regulatory compliance.

Are there any prerequisites for a successful on-premise deployment?

Successful deployments require validated hardware, compatible operating systems, appropriate database and storage configurations, network security controls, and properly configured access controls. It’s important to align data governance policies with the platform’s capabilities, and to plan for scale across unlimited collection users and multiple data sources.

What is the Veritas Corporate Licensing Program (CLP) and how does it affect pricing?

The Veritas Corporate Licensing Program (CLP) provides enterprise pricing, simplified renewals, and volume-based concessions tailored for corporate customers. This program supports large-scale deployments and predictable budgeting for organizations that need long-term, scalable eDiscovery solutions.

How does this licensing model support compliance and regulatory needs?

With Unlimited Legal Hold Users and on-premise deployment, organizations can implement strict hold and preservation policies, maintain full data control, and comply with industry-specific regulatory requirements. The capacity, governance features, and support structure are designed to help enterprises demonstrate defensible processes and maintain audit-ready records throughout investigations and litigation.

Quality shoe but with a slight squeak.
Size: 10 Wide, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Nice shoes with the classic Penny Loafer design. Fit was better than another brand I tried. Only reason not 5 starts is disappointment due to a slight squeak at times when walking.

Exact item ordered, quick delivery
Size: 9.5, Color: Black Polished Full Grain
I ordered these black Cole Haan penny loafers for casual wear with jeans, khakies, and even business casual with slacks and a jacket. They've always worked perfectly for these uses. The Cole Haan version is the most versatile and still meets my sophisticated look criteria. I wear a 9 1/2 M with almost all other shoes. I have found Cole Haan to run slightly wider and slightly shorter. This fit will work with thin and no socks and a little loose in width. . I'd likely order a 10 N next time. I tend to forget this but it runs consistent with me for Cole Haan. 5 stars for the shoe and service. My bad on the slightly off fit.

Poor quality control - maybe outlet store leftovers
Size: 11.5, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
The two shoes were not the same size. They were both labeled 11 1/2 but one shoe was larger than the other and the fit was poor. I returned the first pair and ordered a replacement. This time the shoes were close to the same size but too loose and the left one has sewing issues. I've bought Johnston & Murphy for years because of the quality. These were to replace an existing pair of burgundy penny loafers that have finally worn out (even after several heal/sole replacements). That is the expected quality. I suspect Nashville Shoe Warehouse may be handling shoes that didn't measure up for the quality; more like an outlet mall than getting the J&M quality I've come to expect. Update: went to Johnston & Murphy site to buy "direct" from the manufacturer. There were several recent reviews where the shoes were long and didn't fit properly. Genesco - please step up the manufacture / crafting of these classic shoes to the level of quality they used to have.
