Benefit from the semi-flexible panel\'s self-healing top surface

The ETFE top layer gives the PV Logic flexi extra resilience in really tough conditions. ETFE has a memory effect or self-healing capacity in the event the panel comes into contact with branches etc thus ensuring any slight abrasions are ‘healed’ within a few hours. The flexi range can even be walked on with soft deck shoes! During production the ETFE is dimpled to further protect the panel and provide an anti-slip surface particularly useful if the panel is fitted to a boat deck.

Completely waterproof

Each panel is assembled to ensure complete encapsulation. This ensures the six layer heavy duty laminate protects the solar cell circuit from extreme conditions. The junction box is also injected with special silicon guaranteeing no water ingress.

Cells protected from hot spots

Where used on a camper van or boat partial shading of a solar panel is typical. In these circumstances heat build-up and damaging hot spots can occur leading to a significantly reduced life cycle of the panel. The larger 60w and above PV Logic flexi panels have up to two shading diodes housed within the fully waterproof junction box to prevent this occurrence.

Superior design

There are no square edges on a PV Logic flexi solar panel! Rounded panel corners and a unique curved junction box provide superior adhesion no snag lamination and no sharp edges. The junction box is mechanically fixed in addition to being bonded to the panel. Strain relief is provided for the fitted 4m UV stabilised PV cable ensuring it cannot be accidentally pulled from the junction box.

Includes 10A Dual Battery Charge Controller

This controller is for off-grid solar systems and has the additional functionality that it can charge two batteries simultaneously and can work on both 12v or 24v systems.

The charging process has been optimised for long battery life and improved system performance. The comprehensive self-diagnostics and electronic protection functions can prevent damage from installation mistakes or system faults.

  • Reverse current protection.
  • Unique dual battery charging function.
  • Efficient Series PWM charging increases battery lifetime and improves solar system performance.
  • 12/24V automatic recognition.
  • Overload protection
  • Open circuit protection
  • Lightning surge protection
  • Deep discharge protection
  • Charge current protection up to 10A

Easy fix

The flexi range can be bonded to flat or slight curved surfaces (3cm curve per metre) such as painted aluminium metal GRP and fibreglass using Simson ISR 70-03. The aluminium layer is also pre-drilled with 4.5mm holes should the panel need to be mechanically fixed as well as or instead of bonding. For more information about what sets the PV Logic Flexi range apart from other panels click here.

Installation method

Please only use the glue pattern below (this is covered in more detail in the instructions) which ensures air flow under the panel is achieved preventing heat build-up and potential warping under extreme heat.

Not what I expected to be a website app builder!
Format: Paperback
Nearly 800 pages to look through. It is great for getting started but to write code and input it to have website function, a website app is needed. I can pay someone $800 complete and not have to buy an app for building websites!

This book is aimed directly at professional web designers and is build around Adobe CS6. It can be helpful, but...
Format: Paperback
Preface - I have a lot of experience making webpages and sites, but my experience is very dated (I haven't played with actual web programming in more than a decade). Many things have changed since I was building websites - including the standardization of HTML 5 and the widespread use of CSS. Since I am rebuilding a number of personal webpages - as well as my commercial site - my wife bought me this book to help me catch up on the new technology. Pluses - 1) The book does a really good job of giving a decent overview of the new technologies I need to learn. Like most "Dummies" books, it is easy to read and follow the instructions and information. 2) The book is aimed at actual web designers and while I am not a professional designer, the tips and tricks laid out in this book are very helpful. 3) I am not sure that someone completely new to website construction would get as much out of it as I did - there are a lot of assumptions made by the author about the reader's grasp of certain web technologies. That said, I think someone new to web design could probably still figure out what is being said. Negatives - 1) This book is aimed at someone looking to become a professional web designer. It is NOT a low level book and covers many things that a personal website designer is not likely to need. Given the fairly low price of the book, that isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it isn't presented that way in the advertisements for the book. 2 (and this is the biggie...) The book is built around using a VERY expensive piece of software - Adobe Creative Suite cs6. This software runs ~$1,000. This makes sense if you are trying to become a professional web designer, but for someone at home just doing a website for themselves, it is WAY out of most people's price range. You don't need that software to learn the lessons in the book, but it is heavily slanted for that piece of software. Most of the screenshots are aimed at the Adobe software. I am using a fairly decent piece of software, but I will need to get a book on that particular software to try to do some of the things the book talks about. I found the book helpful, but flawed for anyone NOT getting into professional web design.

Great reference book
Format: Paperback
I started reading this book and gave up after I realized I didn't have the programs that it called for. (The programs are very expensive!) However, I kept this on hand because I started to do more research on HTML codes and taught myself (with some guidence from this book) how to create my own webpages using simple design programs AND coding other sites soley with HTML codes! Decently priced and something good to have on hand when that one thing just doesn't make sense...
