Eaton Tripp Lite Series Gigabit Multimode Fiber to Ethernet Media Converter with PoE+ (LC, 850 nm, 550M)

Powerful, compact, and designed for seamless integration into modern networks, the Eaton Tripp Lite Series Gigabit Multimode Fiber to Ethernet Media Converter with PoE+ is a versatile solution for extending both data and power to PoE devices across longer distances. This Gigabit media converter converts standard Ethernet signals to fiber optics, giving you the flexibility to place IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, or other PoE-powered endpoints where copper runs aren’t feasible or cost-effective. With a multimode fiber link running at 850 nm and a practical reach of up to 550 meters, you gain the ability to connect buildings, retrofit network corners, or expand to remote sites without sacrificing speed or reliability.

  • Power and data in one cable — This media converter brings together Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) and data transmission over a single connection to compatible devices. By delivering PoE+ power through the Ethernet port, you can deploy high-demand devices without laying separate power lines, simplifying installation, reducing clutter, and improving reliability in locations where electrical outlets are scarce. The device negotiates power with connected endpoints according to IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standards, enabling efficient operation and intelligent power management across your network.

  • Flexible, high-speed Gigabit connectivity — At the heart of this converter is a true Gigabit Ethernet interface that supports 10/100/1000 Mbps with auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX. This ensures smooth compatibility with legacy 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps devices while delivering full 1 Gbps performance to modern network gear. Whether you’re bridging a high-speed LAN segment or extending a backbone link to a remote node, the device maintains consistent throughput and low latency, making it ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications such as video conferencing, cloud access, and real-time monitoring.

  • Robust multimode fiber link with LC optics — The converter uses a multimode fiber interface with LC connectors and an 850 nm wavelength, optimized for short- to mid-range campus or building deployments. Multimode fiber provides cost-efficient, high-bandwidth links suitable for interior networks, data centers, and educational environments. The LC optic connector enables a compact, secure, and easy-to-terminate fiber connection, reducing installation time and aligning with standard fiber infrastructure in many facilities.

  • Long-distance performance for campus and building-to-building links — With support for a fiber link reach up to 550 meters (approximately 1804 feet), this media converter helps you extend Ethernet proximity across floors, across wings, or between interconnected buildings without sacrificing speed or reliability. The combination of PoE+ and a dedicated fiber uplink makes it possible to place power-requiring devices away from main electrical panels while keeping a streamlined, unified network path.

  • Rugged design for real-world deployments — The unit is built with a compact, durable enclosure that fits into standard rack spaces or convenient wall-mounted configurations. Its metal housing provides robust protection in a variety of environments, from office floors to network closets, and it operates with passive cooling to maintain silent, maintenance-free performance. LED indicators give immediate diagnostics for power, link status, and PoE activity, making installation and troubleshooting straightforward for IT staff and AV teams alike.

Horrible, don't buy
Size: 1.8in for Puppy Dogs
I wanted to love these. They had so much potential. It's a good size. It seems like a good shape. But ... 1) first red flag should have been the packaging. It looked like it was a dollar store item that had beenblost on the shelves for years. 2) the rubber is super flexible. I was expecting it to be sturdier. I can flatten the ball without lich force. Maybe that doesn't matter. Naybe flexible is good. But I never got a chance to test out it's durability against a pup because... 3) it smelled. I expected it to smell like rubber, like most rubber toys. Rubber smell is okay. Usually rubber smell goes away. But, this was NOT a rubber smell. It smells like peppermint or something similar. It's like someone sprayed essential oils when mixing the rubber and now the smell will not leave. I soaked it in dawn soap half the day and overnight. I rubbed. I scrubbed. The smell actually gets worst the more you scrub it!!! It's like a scented marker or scented eraser, but you do NOT want the scent in a dog toy! My dog cannot smell the food in it because the smell of the weird mint-like scent is so overpowering. He saw it had food, and wanted it, but every time he started sniffing wildly, he would recoil. Whoever thought it was a good idea to scent this was WRONG. Mint in the form of an essential oil is extremely poisonous to dogs!! So, why they would put a mint-loke scent ijto the dog's rubber treat toy is beyond me. I would return this if I hadn't throw out the package immediately. I considered pulling the package out of the trash once i realized the scent issue but other trash had already been dumped into the trash can over it and i didn't want to dig through trash. The ball is still soaking in soap. I scrubbed again this morning. I let obe dry out. No luck. It actually seems to get worst the more you scrub, like it really is embedded in the rubber itself. Yuck!!!

Heavy Chewer Approved!
If you have a heavy chewer, this toy is perfect! We have gone through so many toys with our German Shepherd mix that we started to just tell ourselves every two weeks we’d have to be spending $50 on toys. We actually got this as a gift and wow! It’s absolutely blown us away. Not only is it incredibly durable, but our dog absolutely loves it. It’s so easy to stuff treats in there and it keeps him occupied sometimes for close to an hour which, if you have an active dog, you know anything over 20 minutes is a bargain! It is certainly well worth the money, very chew resistant, and basically silent. The loudest thing you might hear is your dog licking or tossing it around in an attempt to get the treats out. I highly recommend stuffing it with a soft chewy cookie because the crunchy ones are just gonna leave crumbs everywhere. I also recommend washing it every other week just to keep buildup from happening deep within the grooves. Note: if you can’t find it, I guarantee you it has rolled under your couch. We ended up buying a second one because we searched high and low for our missing pickle pocket. Naturally, as soon as the second one arrived, the first one was found leisurely lounging just out of reach in the dark depths of our couch’s underbelly.

This toy is awesome. It keeps my dog occupied for a good amount of time, which is hard to do! Pretty much any other toy I've gotten for my dogs, they've easily destroyed. The only other toy that they've enjoyed is the KONG Extreme Dog Toy, Large, Black . However, he has have gotten the hang of it and it only takes about 10-15 minutes to get out any treats inside. Also it has a rubbery smell that I don't particularly like. There are three different slits in this pickle toy. For my dog, it takes about 20-30 minutes to work on it and get the treats outs. The crevices are thin enough that it takes them some time to work at it, but flexible enough that you can use pretty much any treat in there. I think the toy is pretty resilient and durable. My dog can chew through anything. I was a bit afraid that they would become frustrated if they couldn't get the treats out that they would just bite through the toy instead. I've had these toys for 2 weeks and so far it's held up without any bite marks or parts chewed off. That's saying a lot. My Malinois even enjoys it without any treats inside. She'll bring it to me like a regular toy. It is a bit on the heavy side so I don't like throwing it around the house, however. Every dog is different but I have to say my dogs really enjoy this. I recommend this toy, and plan on trying out the other Starmark toys.

RECOMMENDED!!
I purchased this for my 68lb Staffy (but really, all our dogs share/ rotate) because the one he had been using wasn’t very challenging and this one looked like it might force him to work a little harder to get the treats out. I was right! He LOVES it - I love it - they ALL love it! There are 3 fairly deep crevices the you can push small treats down into so the dog has to lick them out (you could also use organic peanut butter - *I don’t recommend ever giving dogs any other type of PB as it contains too much salt, sugar, GMOs & preservatives). I take about 10 or so small “squishy” treats and stuff them as far down as I can and he works for almost an hour to lick them until they’re gooey (LOL) enough to be licked out! My other dogs do the same! All our dogs are rescued and “pitbull types” (except one small breed), so they’re strong chewers, but NOT destructive. ****I frequently see people in reviews complaining that their dog destroyed a toy made for “strong chewers.” There’s a HUGE difference between strong and destructive!! Mine are strong chewers, and we like to keep Benebones around here for the times they have the need/instinct to chew (which often!), but they are not destructive dogs. If you have a destructive dog, there is likely no toy on earth they won’t leave in pieces. Destructive dogs are often that way because their breed/age/required needs aren’t being met, so naturally they attempt to release that pent up energy onto toys (or even furniture/shoes/etc. It’s not the dog’s fault. It’s definitely not a manufacturer’s or seller’s fault. #1 Rule: Know your dog!! If they destroy most toys within minutes, they’re likely lacking exercise. If you’re exercising them to their breed & age requirements and they’re still destructive, you can work on either behavior modification or finding toys that they CAN’T destroy. Benebones, Nylabones, etc are great because they are very well made and even as the dogs chew little pieces off, it creates edges that clean their teeth. Win-Win!! These are things we’ve learned from running a canine rescue & rehab for over 20 years, which means fostering dogs of all backgrounds, personalities, ages and needs (90% of which are pibbles).

Almost the best, and great price point...
I love this toy - I give it to my toughest chewer stuffed up with kibble and p-butter that I've frozen an hour or two - and it's cool to play with unfilled too, as it's pliable and soft/bouncy while being also very durable. Starmark is my 3rd of 3 name brands I will buy for my dogs, due to my need for durability for tough chewers thus limiting what toys/brands I can even pick from (West Paw is one I'm now just trying, and Outward Hound is my usual go to over the years), and to be honest, between price and availability, I really want to move Starmark to my number 1 go to but....from what I can tell, the other two companies have great policies about releasing what/where their products are made (of), and I cannot seem to find out whether or not Starmark is also i.e. food-grade and/or whether they have a guarrented return policy or not so....a star off for that until/unless I can assure myself and you, reader, that the quality is just as good as the other two companies. To be fair though, and due to not being able to find any info on material qualities, this IS the one and only toy I have used, but they are also often sold at many local stores and so many of the other treat-toys in this brand have caught my eye, as far as types of toys available and ease to find if/when a replacement (or double to ship to my sister's dog!) is needed. I am thinking that, from what I've seen/felt at local stores for this brand, the durability is likely on par so...again, all going back to the material choice and manufacturing info, for me, that prevents this being a full 5 stars.
