How to measure size for pants

Things to keep in mind to ensure the measurements are taken correctly:

  • It is helpful to have a family member or friend take the measurements for accuracy.
  • Please use flexible tape only, such as a tailor’s measuring tape.
  • All measurements must be recorded in the same units, either centimetres or inches.
  • You should preferably wear base layers while measuring and avoid anything bulky.

STEP 1 - Measure using a tailor's tape:
There are two key measurements required to determine your correct pants size.

  • High hip: Wrap the tape around your belt line. Keep the tape parallel to the ground — not too loose and not too tight.
  • Inseam length: Hold a hardbound book firmly between your legs, then measure from the top edge of the book down to the ankle.

STEP 2 - Find your pants size by checking measurements against the size chart provided:

  • Refer to the body size chart on our website to find the size closest to your measurements. ViaTerra offers riding pants with two inseam lengths for each waist size — Short and Regular — allowing you to choose based on your height.
  • If both your measurements do not fall within one specific size, use the inseam length to choose the pants size. The waist can be adjusted using the belt-loop system provided.
  • Each brand follows its own sizing standards, so always check the size chart before selecting your size.

Fitment

How to check if the armour is in the right position and how to make adjustments to ensure the armours stay in place while on the motorcycle:

If you are trying the pants on at the store, wear them for 5–10 minutes to get comfortable. Keep in mind that the pants are designed to work best in the riding posture, so some other movements may feel slightly restrictive.

STEP 1 - Confirm that the armours are in the correct position:
The primary fit check should be around the lower hip and thighs. The pants include a complete belt system for maximum adjustability at the waist, which also allows you to add the tailbone armour if required.

STEP 2 - Ensure the armours are properly positioned:

  • For the knee, take a seat and bend your leg. When bent, ensure the armour sits at least 2 inches above the knee and covers both sides evenly.
  • If the pants fit well but the knee armour feels slightly misaligned, use the cinching mechanism to bring the armour closer to your body.
  • To adjust, ensure the ladderlock is not aligned with the webbing. Hold the ladderlock perpendicular to the webbing and pull it left or right to tighten or loosen. Cinch straps at the hems offer additional adjustment.

Things to remember

The Kruger Pro Touring pants offer unmatched ventilation, comfort and dexterity like no other. Designed for the ride with pre-curved knees and ergonomically placed stretch panels, the Kruger Pro enables you to move around with ease.

With best-in-class CE Level 2 protection from SAS-TEC and dual-layer impact zones combining SuperFabric with Cordura panels, the Kruger Pro is ready to shield you when required. It is the only riding pant that comes with the option to include tailbone protection.

Kruger Pro mesh riding pants offer multiple inseam lengths for the same waist size, so there's no need to adjust the armour to compensate for extra pant length. A good-fitting riding pant should fit well without constant readjustment.

The FocusFit design of the Kruger Pro delivers an unmatched fit and comfort, allowing the armours to sit closer to the body without causing discomfort. This close fit is crucial to ensure the armours remain in the right position during a crash and absorb impact effectively.

  • Pre-curved knees and ergonomic stretch panels for superior mobility
  • CE Level 2 SAS-TEC armour for best-in-class impact protection
  • Dual-layer impact zones with SuperFabric + Cordura
  • Optional tailbone protection
  • Multiple inseam lengths for each waist size
  • FocusFit design for a secure, comfortable armour fit

A side to Civil Rights
Format: Paperback
A Civil Rights victory through purely peaceful means never seemed completely likely to me and this book is certainly an eye opener and contains information that every US History and US Government teacher should know. Rights are not preserved unless men are willing to stand up to those who seek to oppress. In this case, many black men in the heart of Dixie finally, and near spontaneously banded together and stopped the KKK and forced the local and state governments to finally acknowledge that the natural born rights that John Locke wrote of in the Second Treatise of Government and that the Founders and Framers of our country adopted applied to all men, regardless of race.

"When you're dealing with the wolf,
Format: Paperback
you have to speak the language of the wolf." - Henry Austin, Deacons for Defense This is truly a lost history of the civil rights movement that author Lance Hill has found under the layers upon layers of mainstream narratives which conveniently dictate false truths that - when repeated enough - become larger than life. Following the organized self-defense philosophy espoused by Robert F. Williams in Monroe, N.C., a small group of men in Jonesboro, Louisiana, founded an organization that had great influence in the civil rights movement of the mid-1960s. The success the Deacons had in defeating the KKK and other haters on the streets by standing up, moving forward and staring them down with guns loaded brought a new sense of empowerment in demanding that justice truly be served today. Hill explains how he became aware of the Deacons and then began his quest to research the history. Initially founded to protect civil rights workers, the Deacons' influence in the Deep South grew with a regional organizing campaign in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, along with chapters being founded in several Northern cities. The success and expansion of the program brought interest from the FBI, coverage by an oftentimes adverse media and linkage - oftenetimes quite temporary - with a number of revolutionary organizations. But through the comparatively brief time the Deacons operated - about four years - Hill successfully argues that the organization forced the federal government to aggressively enforce the 1964 Civil Rights Act and was the bridge to the Black Power movement that emerged later in the decade. The Deacons' legacy continues, as former members have strongly stated over the years that the group has never actually gone away. And, as Hill writes, "Finally, there is something inspiring in a story of people who stood up to injustice when everyone around them was afraid. That is a fable that will always serve us well." The Deacons for Defense lives in the souls of those who do their part on a daily basis to bring real justice to this country.

Great history of a politically incorrect civil rights movement
Format: Paperback
This is the true story of African Americans who choose not to turn the other cheek and wait for Martin's Dream to come true. Instead, they take up arms to protect themselves and their children from the present predations of racist, sadistic creeps. Very inspiring. There's a good movie from it, same name, starring Forest Whitaker.

An Obscure Facet of the Civil Rights Movement
Format: Paperback
The Deacons for Defense story has been buried since the mid sixties. The reasons for this loss are many. The Deacons don't fit the stereotype promulgated by the orthodox civil rights leaders and historians, nor does it particularly fit with the "conservative" historian view that anti-black violence largely was confined to a few terrible but soon overcome incidents [overcome with support of the Feds and the Press]. This book shows how pervasive the violence was and how the African-American Community especially the men, were scarred by the violence, and reluctant to join with the non-violent philosophy of the orthodox movement , as it destroyed their sense of manhood. The author does stretch at times to support his themes, especially the class differences between the Deacons and the mainstreamers, but this story is strong and should be better known. One amazing thing, with all of the hoopla about gun control, I'm surprised the NRA doesn't push the Deacon's story, as it does support the notion of an armed citizen being effective in countering an oppressive government. One can only surmise that the NRA supporters are also supporters of the repression in these instances. Ironic [but I digress].

This details what the average citizen may need to do when the local or state law enforcement won't protect your rights and what
Format: Paperback
If you are a second amendment supporter or if you are an African-American who wonders "What does all this second amendment stuff mean to me anyway?", you need to read this book. This doesn't take place in 'ancient' American history when only those on the frontiers needed to keep arms for hunting and protection or for the gentleman walking through 18th or early 19th century America, this is from America, the 1960's. This details what the average citizen may need to do when the local or state law enforcement won't protect your rights and what it is like to live, as a minority, during that type of time (and 'minority' may change as the winds of political strength changes). The movie about the same topic gives you only a taste. Enlarge your mind.
