This conditioner effectively neutralizes harmful ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite levels in freshwater, saltwater, and planted aquariums. Ammonia is continuously produced by fish through their gills, urine, and solid waste, while uneaten food and decomposing organic material contribute to its presence. Even small amounts of ammonia can cause stress to fish, while higher levels can be lethal. This innovative formula binds with ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, making them non-toxic and enabling the biofilter to work more effectively in removing these harmful substances.

Apply this conditioner at the start-up of your aquarium and whenever you are adding or changing water, or if test results indicate elevated levels of ammonia, nitrates, or nitrites. When introducing, transporting, or quarantining fish, we suggest utilizing API STRESS COAT water conditioner, which pairs perfectly with AQUA ESSENTIAL water conditioner.

Using the dosing cap on the bottle, add 5 ml. for every 50 gallons of aquarium water to treat tap water. For the removal of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, use 5 ml. per 10 gallons of aquarium water. We recommend waiting 24 hours after dosing before performing a water change. If you dose again within that 24-hour window, it poses no risk to the animals or plants in your aquarium. A subsequent water change is always advantageous for the health of your aquatic system.
