The Matrox ConvertIP DRS is a high-performance, dual-channel RJ45 SDI-to-IP converter designed to streamline modern broadcast and post-production workflows. Built to handle both transmitting and receiving ST 2110 or IPMX signals, it unifies infrastructure by bringing together robust 12G-SDI capabilities, precise genlock, and flexible IP networking all within a single, compact device. Whether you’re migrating to IP-based production, consolidating broadcast infrastructure, or building a hybrid environment that spans traditional SDI and modern IP, ConvertIP DRS delivers reliable, low-latency performance with interoperability at its core. This device is purpose-built for studios, OB vans, post facilities, and live production environments that demand paddle-fast switching, synchronization, and broad compatibility with industry-standard IP workflows.

Seamless dual-channel operation — ConvertIP DRS supports two independent channels for SDI-to-IP or IP-to-SDI conversion, enabling flexible routing and cross-conversion across ST 2110 and IPMX networks. With dual channels, engineers can configure redundant paths, parallel encodes/decodes, or split streams to multiple destinations, all while keeping timing and synchronization in strict adherence to broadcast standards. The result is a resilient, scalable solution that grows with your IP deployment and accommodates evolving formats without swapping hardware.

12G-SDI fidelity with robust IP connectivity — At the heart of ConvertIP DRS is 12G-SDI support, delivering pristine video over a single cable for high-resolution formats and high frame rates. The device also features three RJ45 ports on a single chassis, enabling versatile IP connectivity for ST 2110 and IPMX traffic, control, and management. This combination allows broadcasters to maintain unparalleled video integrity while leveraging flexible, standards-based IP transport. The integrative approach minimizes cabling complexity and reduces the footprint of multi-hop routing in large facilities.

Genlock and synchronized workflows — In live production, timing is everything. ConvertIP DRS includes genlock capabilities to synchronize multiple devices across a facility, ensuring that all streams remain locked to a single reference. This is essential for multi-camera shoots, synchronized playout, and seamless switching between sources. The genlock feature helps prevent frame misalignment, motion judder, and timing drift, which can otherwise degrade broadcast quality in IP environments where sources originate from different devices or locations.

IP compatibility for ST 2110 and IPMX ecosystems — The ConvertIP DRS is engineered to integrate smoothly with ST 2110-based networks and IPMX-enabled ecosystems. By bridging traditional SDI with IP-native signal transport, the device supports the broader goals of IP-centric production without sacrificing the reliability users expect from Matrox hardware. This makes it an excellent fit for facilities piloting IPMX workflows or migrating gradually to IP while maintaining current SDI assets. The result is a future-proof solution that delivers interoperability, scalability, and long-term value.

Compact, reliable hardware for challenging environments — Designed for real-world broadcast environments, ConvertIP DRS combines a compact form factor with rugged reliability. It’s engineered for rack-mountability, field deployments, and studios where space is at a premium. The integrated three RJ45 ports reduce the number of separate networking devices, streamlining setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. In addition to physical ruggedness, Matrox’s reputation for reliability translates into steady performance under demanding workloads, with power-efficient operation and minimal thermal footprint.

Enhance efficiency with flexible configurations — ConvertIP DRS enables flexible, scalable configurations that align with various production needs. Whether you require point-to-point conversions, routing between SDI and IP networks, or simultaneous dual-channel operation for redundancy or multi-destination delivery, the device makes it straightforward to adapt as your facility grows. Its intuitive management interface, coupled with industry-standard protocols, helps operators deploy and reconfigure streams quickly, reducing downtime during transitions or upgrades.

Amazing. A bit of a job to set it up but worth it!
Color: Black, Color: Black
Excellent quality. Sturdy and strong. The screws that come with it are awful. Get yourself some different ones. Takes a while to set it up and get it all measured. I did it while I was setting up my new Flexi-spot E7 Plus standing desk. Wanted to get it all done at the same time. At first. I thought it might be overkill, but I am sooooo glad I did get this. Now my computer moves along with the desk. It looks great. I bet it has improved the air flow around my computer as well. Looks sleek and cool. I might have set it a bit too tight around my case and as a result I have to shimmy it to get it out of the holder if I have to do any work on the computers internals. But at least I know it's secure. My suggestion would be to leave a little bit of slack to avoid this in your setup. Maybe like a 1/4 inch would be ok. The pads should hold it in place anyway. May loosen mine up if I find the time. But it feels totally secure on the desk with no wobble or shaking. Great product. Also I'm a woman in my late fifties 😃and I was able to set it all up on my own. So don't be intimidated ladies, you can do it too. I also bought two of the ultimate set up cable management trays. Great products. Note for anyone from the Ultimate Setup company who might read this. Please provide better quality wood screws and some extra ones) I stripped three of the cheap ones that came with this. And it took forever to drill them in because they weren't strong enough. Then it would be perfect.

Awesome quality
Color: White, Color: White
Take your time installing! It comes with all the instructions and templates. Make sure you’re screwing this into solid wood. I would not recommend you hang your expensive PC from a particle board table. My Pc fits in well and it’s compatible with a ton of different sizes. Mine has been mounted under my desk for about 6 months and is rock solid. I will say, mine is balancing in there. If I don’t have it at its center of gravity, it could tip out. You can adjust it with the various screw holes but make sure you mount it into something solid.
