The Seiko SLP 620 is a compact, ultra-reliable direct thermal printer designed to simplify everyday labeling tasks in busy food service environments. Featuring a crisp 203 dpi resolution, it prints clear text, barcodes, and lot or expiration codes without the hassles of ink, toner, or ribbons. Built for speed and dependability, this printer helps you keep up with high-volume kitchen throughput while maintaining legible, professional labels that meet basic food safety requirements. With an emphasis on user-friendly operation, the SLP 620 makes it easy to load labels, replace media, and achieve consistent print quality from the first label to the last. When paired with NetsPG Food Prep Software, it becomes a powerful labeling solution that streamlines workflows, reduces waste, and boosts accuracy across your entire labeling process. Whether you operate a bustling restaurant, caterer, bakery, or grocery back room, the Seiko SLP 620 delivers dependable performance, simple maintenance, and clear, scannable labels that help you stay compliant and organized.

  • Direct thermal printing with 203 dpi clarity: The Seiko SLP 620 uses direct thermal technology to produce crisp, legible labels without ink, toner, or ribbons. This means lower ongoing operating costs, less downtime, and fewer supply changes while still delivering professional results for product names, batch numbers, expiration dates, and barcodes. The 203 dpi resolution ensures sharp text and readable barcodes, which is especially important in fast-paced kitchen environments where quick scanning and accurate labeling are essential. By eliminating consumables beyond the label stock, you simplify maintenance and keep your labeling station tidy and efficient.
  • NetsPG Food Prep Software integration for streamlined workflows: When paired with NetsPG Food Prep Software, the SLP 620 becomes a dedicated tool for food labeling and prep documentation. Create templates for common items, automatically populate fields like ingredients, allergens, dates, and lot numbers, and push labels directly to the printer with minimal steps. This integration helps standardize labeling across the operation, reduces manual entry errors, and supports compliance with basic food safety practices. The seamless software connection empowers kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to produce accurate labels quickly, increasing throughput without sacrificing accuracy.
  • User-friendly loading and maintenance: Loading labels on the SLP 620 is designed to be quick and intuitive, so busy staff can change media in moments rather than during peak service. The printer’s design supports straightforward media alignment, quick-fed media, and simple calibration to ensure that each label feeds cleanly and prints consistently. Routine maintenance is minimal, thanks to the ribbon-free setup and durable construction that stands up to a bustling kitchen environment. This ease of use translates into less training time for new hires and fewer printing hiccups during service.
  • Durable design optimized for food service environments: The Seiko SLP 620 is crafted to perform in demanding food prep and labeling settings. Its compact footprint fits neatly on crowded prep counters or staging shelves, while its robust build resists minor bumps and spills that are common in kitchens. The absence of ink or ribbons reduces the risk of media jams and residue near food prep areas, contributing to a cleaner, safer workspace. The printer’s reliability makes it a staple in environments that require consistent, on-demand labeling with minimal downtime.
  • Versatile labeling capabilities for a range of use-cases: From expiration dating to lot tracking and allergen notices, the SLP 620 supports a variety of labeling needs that food businesses encounter daily. Its compatibility with standard direct thermal label stock allows you to tailor label widths and lengths to fit different products, packaging formats, and storage requirements. This versatility is especially valuable for operations that manage multiple SKUs or run promotional items, enabling you to standardize label formats while still accommodating diverse labeling tasks across the organization.

How to install Seiko SLP 620 Direct Thermal Printer

  • Step 1: Unbox the printer and place it on a stable, level surface near a power source and your computer or network hub. Ensure you have the required power cable and the appropriate data connection for your setup (USB or network, depending on your model).
  • Step 2: Connect the printer to power first, then establish the data connection to your computer or network. Power on the unit and perform any on-device calibration if prompted by the display or indicators.
  • Step 3: Install NetsPG Food Prep Software on your computer or server following the vendor’s installation guide. If you already use NetsPG, verify that the SLP 620 is added as a printer within the software and that the correct label templates are loaded for your common items.
  • Step 4: Load your label stock. Open the printer cover, place the label roll on the feed, and thread the media through the guides, ensuring the label liner sits flat and aligned with the print head. Use the media guides to align the labels and prevent skewing during feeding.
  • Step 5: Run a feed test or calibration to confirm that the labels advance cleanly and that the print aligns with the label edges. Adjust the print darkness (contrast) and label size settings in the printer driver or NetsPG software as needed to achieve the best print quality.
  • Step 6: Configure your label templates in NetsPG Food Prep Software. Create fields for item name, ingredients, allergens, date codes, batch numbers, and any other data required for your operation. Save and assign the templates to the SLP 620 so that the next print draws data directly from your product records.
  • Step 7: Run a test print from NetsPG to verify the end-to-end workflow—from data entry to printed label. Confirm that barcodes scan reliably and that all critical information appears clearly on the label. When satisfied, you’re ready for full production labeling.

Protected my kids through 7 hours of sun and water—no burns at all!
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This sunscreen is the real deal. We spent a full day, about 6 to 7 hours, at a water park under the blazing sun. My kids were running around nonstop, in and out of the water, and we reapplied every 30-45 minutes. Not a single sunburn. Their skin looked exactly the same by the end of the day, no redness, no irritation. Meanwhile, I skipped sunscreen and got absolutely fried. Lesson learned. Goes on smoothly, doesn’t leave a sticky residue, and held up amazingly even with water play. I’ll be buying this on repeat all summer.

Smells great. Tough to remove.
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
The smell is great and very nostalgic, but it has a sticky/tacky feel on the skin. It's hard to get off even with a lot of scrubbing with soap and hot water. They weren't joking that it stays on through water and sweat.

A TERRIFIC FIND FOR US IN ECUADOR
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Here in Ecuador, this product isn't even available to us. I have the most precious 20 month old girl living with us and of course I wanted to get a quality product at less cost. This fits the bill. With an SPF 100 rating from a decades old and trusted manufacturer and a price that is less than one third of what I would have to pay for any sort of water resistant equivalent, this was a no brainer. If you buy this product, please read the instructions and follow them. It is a spray product that great care should be used to avoid spraying directly on the face--------- either your own or the child's. Spray it on your hand and apply it to any face that needs it. It's convenient for neck, shoulders, backs and legs due to its spray delivery. Our little 20 month old must be part fish because she loves the thermal pools we take her to and this product seems quite durable

SPF 100 FTW
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I find it very important to have strong sunscreen. Thankfully I found this with 100 SPF. So glad plus I’m happy that I found it in spray because it’s so much easier to apply the kids and then I just have them rub it in. It also makes reapplying so much easier because just start spraying and have them turn around and around that you’re good to go.

Not eczema skin friendly
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1), Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Since I didn’t remember which sunblock spray I had previously purchased (that was super awesome), I got this one with a few other ‘kid’ sunblock spray and stick. I had grabbed this one for a splash pad birthday party this weekend only to find out it’s messy and not eczema skin friendly. Either we got a defective bottle or it’s just the way it sprays: runny goops of sunscreen that takes awhile to dry properly (see photo). And when it dries it really does stick onto your skin as advertised (aka not breathable, pore clogging, will irritate sensitive/eczema prone skin). My youngest has eczema prone skin (that’s been flare up free for 3 years) had a severe break out on her arms after using this. And even for the sake of photo demonstration for this post my own sensitive skin got red/irritated. So does it stick-yup. Is it messy? Definitely. Easy to apply? No (your kiddos have to stay put until it dries). Did it provide sun protection? Maybe…? Sensitive skin friendly? No. Eczema skin approved? Definitely not. Recommended? Nope. We threw it away and requested a refund.
