As a comprehensive DJ system, AlphaTheta’s XDJ-AZ 4-channel fire-starter takes up the mantle of its Pioneer-series siblings, resulting in a galvanizing gauntlet of evocative, versatile performance possibilities. Taking inspiration from the vaunted CDJ-DJM combo layout, the XDJ-AZ is the essential, all-in-one DJ device, marrying club-standard interfacing and an ergonomic control scheme with cutting-edge connectivity and a deluge of creative tools. Multi-device and mobile compatibility join multiple USB and audio ports, making back-to-back sets, hybrid performances, and DJ-duty hand-offs a breeze, while the system’s extensive wireless capabilities enamor gigging DJs. Though the XDJ-AZ can operate fully standalone, the 4-deck dynamo’s built-in Wi-Fi and onboard streaming compatibility let you seamlessly access rekordbox’s CloudDirectPlay, Beatport Streaming’s StreamingDirectPlay, and the full scope of streaming options available via Serato DJ Pro, alongside faster-than-Bluetooth SonicLink wireless connectivity. The XDJ-AZ’s multimode suite of performance pads, versatile I/O options, Gate Cue mode, and extensive EQ controls are complemented by a vast array of Sound Color and Beat FX alongside vivid displays both within the jog wheels and the 10.1-inch touchscreen. Whether you’re soaring through a solo set, performing back-to-back at afters, or pushing the club’s system to its limits, the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ is an unrivaled apparatus of boundary-pushing beat weaving.

Note: Compatibility with Serato DJ Pro software and its expanded streaming and performance features are planned to be available in December 2024. A Serato DJ Pro license is not required.

Customizable feel to control your way

Like Pioneer’s flagship CDJ-3000, the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ is adjustable to suit your style. Each jog wheel features a vivid, full-color display that supplies real-time track, performance mode, and operational information coupled with the artwork for the song currently playing. Furthermore, each jog wheel can be independently adjusted for feel, from light and fast to hard and heavy, with dedicated buttons for instantly toggling the vaunted Vinyl mode, in addition to further control via the Vinyl Speed adjustment on each deck. Versatile Key Sync and Beat Sync capabilities join flexible pitch-bend and tempo-range tools, letting you dial in the perfect, personalized performance experience.

Modular multi-device and back-to-back possibilities

Thanks to the XDJ-AZ’s suite of connectivity capabilities, AlphaTheta’s ensured there’s no shortage of ways to bring the action to your next set. For starters, the XDJ-AZ features three USB ports: two Type-A and one rear-mounted Type-C. For roaring back-to-back sets and seamless hand-offs, AlphaTheta strategically placed the dual USB-A ports away from any risk of accidental disconnection while keeping them surface-mounted for easy access. Plus, each port is given a backlit indicator and USB Stop button, keeping you in the know as you go. Alternatively, the XDJ-AZ hosts stereo RCA inputs for the DJ system's third and fourth channels, in addition to combo jacks for both microphone inputs, immensely expanding your performance possibilities to include drum machines, sequencers, turntables, synthesizers, and more. Furthermore, the XDJ-AZ has a Link port, as well, transforming it into a club staple by accommodating expanded multi-deck use with supplementary CDJs — just plug and play. Or, you can mix and match external audio sources and controllers. Your only limit is a compatible connection and your ambition.

Link Export, Serato, and rekordbox support, wires: optional

If standalone use isn’t your style, AlphaTheta built the XDJ-AZ to support a massive amount of audio source, playback, monitoring, and performance configurations — wired and wireless. The system’s rear-placed USB-C port is your key to Mac and PC possibilities via Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox. In Performance Mode, the XDJ-AZ becomes a controller for the near-limitless mixing magic that Serato and rekordbox uniquely provide. Meanwhile, compatibility with rekordbox’s Link Export grants access to cable-free connection for retrieving tracks from your iOS or Android mobile device, as well as Mac and Windows computers.

Note: The rekordbox Link Export feature does not support wired connections for use with rekordbox for Android.

Stream straight into your set

With the help of the XDJ-AZ’s built-in Wi-Fi, high-fidelity tracks can beam straight into your set, mitigating the risk of requests going unfulfilled, as well as supporting an avenue of active discovery and imaginative on-the-fly mash-ups or remixes.

With Beatport Streaming, the XDJ-AZ utilizes StreamingDirectPlay to access Beatport’s immense library of classic and contemporary dancefloor fillers and cutting-edge, genre-tailored playlists, straight from the XDJ-AZ’s touchscreen. What’s more, each Beatport Streaming track comes with waveform, BPM, grid, and further analysis data that seamlessly integrates with the XDJ-AZ’s display, empowering you to expand and explore mixes with ease.

Wireless possibilities don’t stop there, however, as the XDJ-AZ is fully compatible with rekordbox’s CloudDirectPlay. Your cloud-based rekordbox library can be accessed from anywhere via Wi-Fi, from individual tracks to curated playlists. But, you’re not just getting the audio itself, as all the pertinent rekordbox performance data comes with it, like Hot Cue information, and the communication is 2-way, as well, meaning you can update tracks and playlists from your XDJ-AZ.

Note: StreamingDirectPlay from Beatport Streaming and rekordbox’s CloudDirectPlay each require subscription plans for use with the XDJ-AZ.

Electrifying expression and innovative interfacing

As the DJ landscape continues to expand and evolve, AlphaTheta is committed to balancing the classic artform with contemporary creative possibilities — the XDJ-AZ is no exception. With eight on each side, the 16 performance pads unlock multitudes of creative, expressive possibilities, from deck-specific configurations to extensive Cue, Loop, and Jump modes. To augment the classic Hot Cue capabilities of XDJ-series systems, AlphaTheta’s introduced the innovative Gate Cue mode, enabling you to play your Hot Cues only while the assigned pad is pressed.

The XDJ-AZ’s detailed 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen ups the ante, from its series predecessors, simultaneously displaying up to 13 tracks at once, compared with the eight-track limit of the XDJ-XZ. Beyond individual tracks, there’s the Playlist Bank that allows you to select up to four playlists to be instantly accessed at any time. Plus, the XDJ-AZ uses the touch capabilities to introduce two critical features: Touch Preview and Touch Cue. If you’ve ever wanted an easier way to preview tracks from a playlist without having to load them, Touch Preview is your answer, while Touch Cue lets you audition upcoming segments of a track already playing. What’s more, the touchscreen displays real-time information and statuses of currently active Performance Pads and Beat FX, in addition to seamlessly integrating all the relevant on-air and beat information from a connected CDJ.

Ferociously flexible FX firepower

The XDJ-AZ’s slew of 14 onboard Beat FX supports a diverse range of use, with options to apply them only to Low-, Mid-, or Hi-frequency ranges, as well as channel-specific applications, from individual decks to Mic and Master outputs. Moreover, Beat FX choices can be quantized manually via Tap Tempo, automatically, or free running, while the Beat FX X-Pad provides another dimension of hands-on texturization. With the XDJ-AZ’s Sound Color FX, spectrum-spanning expression is always at the ready, and each channel has a dedicated adjustment for the effect’s respective saturation.

Premium playback and malleable mixing

Across so many potential audio sources and performance configurations, AlphaTheta sought to support the highest-fidelity sonics without compromising creative customization. Upgrading from the XDJ-XZ, the XDJ-AZ features a state-of-the-art 32-bit D/A converter from ESS Technology, crafted to handle the vast dynamic range and aural nuances of your music, faithfully reproducing it for any environment. Because every space is different, the per-channel equalization controls are supplemented by 3-band EQs for each Mic input, as well as the Master Channel output.

When further control is needed, the dedicated Mixer Settings button uses the touchscreen for deeper customization. Curvature profiles for all channel faders, as well as the crossfader, are given three options for each, while crossfader assignments can be individually selected for the A- and B-side of each deck or bypassed entirely to facilitate further integration of external audio. Microphone settings include feedback reduction and designating Beat FX to one or both mics, while malleable recording options allow you to refine the way you capture your set.

Masterful monitoring and SonicLink support

In keeping with contemporary performance needs, the XDJ-AZ has multiple ways to configure and customize your playback. Front-mounted headphone jacks include both 1/4-inch and 3.5-millimeter options; the Mixer Settings let you select between Stereo and Mono Split monitoring, in addition to four-volume options for tracks being previewed via Link connections. To truly maximize the boundary-pushing potential of AlphaTheta’s expertise, the XDJ-AZ features an integrated SonicLink transmitter. This proprietary technology sits at the cutting edge of wireless playback, with an ultra-low-latency transmission delivering audio 20 times faster than the frequently used SBC Bluetooth codec. If you’re mixing with AlphaTheta’s HDJ-F10 pro-DJ headphones, then worry-free wireless monitoring is only a click away.

Note: The XDJ-AZ does not support wireless SonicLink use with the AlphaTheat Wave-Eight portable DJ speaker.

Hardcore bullying and mistreatment to HEA
Format: Kindle
First off the men do not know she is their scent match. This does not excuse the way the treated her. These men bought her in hopes of using and unregistered Omega to get info on the Omega they might as kids.  Every single one of these characters has been abused growing up. The men think she is just some spoiled princess and their way to find someone they have been searching for. What they don't expect is to slowly find themselves drawn to her more and more but not understanding why.  These men starting acting weird and possessive but never suspected why. Once they discover the truth they have to work really hard to make it up to her. Especially after she put them in contact with the Omega they had been looking for then she ran.  I definitely felt for these men as their story was revealed. I definitely wanted to hold them and promise they were safe now.  That little surprise at the end I definitely didn't expect but it was fantastic.

Rights Didn't Balance the Wrongs
Format: Kindle
Eva was sold to a pack as an unregistered Omega by her own father. Unwanted. They wanted her as a means to an end, not for who she was. But she knows the truth. They are her scent matches. They don't realize that because of the suppressants she is on. It's better this way. They would be slaves to biology if they knew, and now she knows the truth. Eva will gain her freedom, and when she does, she will make sure they realize exactly what they lost. I love a rejected mate's story with a good redemption arc. Bring on all the groveling. This wasn't as satisfying as I had hoped for. Too much spice, too little story. There was little romance, affection, or redemption. Consent was questionable. And Eva's fears about biology weren't disproven. The Alphas were controlled by their scent match, and Eva was no better. The Alphas didn't have any character growth. It wasn't only their "Omega" but all of the women they entertained in the house. Even sitting on the couch would have sent an Omega into hysterics. The house and furniture were ruined. Wrongs were done - trafficking, abuse, captivity, dubious sexual encounters. There weren't enough rights to balance out the wrongs, so the Alphas stayed ruined. There were no swoon-worthy declarations or actions. There were some gifts and some redecorating, but most was off-page. Where was the over-the-top shopping trip and romantic gestures? Where were the intimate conversations? Did they ever gain Eva's trust? I'm not even sure "I love you's" were exchanged by everyone. Was there love or only scent? I don't know, so this story was not a success for me.

Amazing read!!
Format: Kindle
Where to begin. I loved this book. The characters had a way of pulling you in and making you holding your breath at the same time. I absolutely loved the fmc. Eva has a way of being vulnerable but strong. She is unwilling to give up. The mmc’s are truly horrible at the beginning. With that being said, I still found myself rooting for them. Over time you could them changing and how even when they wanted to hate her they just couldn’t find it in them. A truly remarkable love came from a terrible beginning. Loved it!

Not bad but read better omegaverse
Format: Kindle
Mmm. I have feelings. Some not good. Some good. It was an ok read. I've been on a omegaverse kick for awhile now. Love me some groveling alphas but this wasn't it. Actually there wasn't enough groveling and the fmc gave in WAY too quickly. They all have f'ed childhood. The alphas, Dorian, Rafe and Cade met at an orphanage that did unspeakable things to them until Dorian and Rafe aged out at 18 and had ti wait a few years until they could "adopt" Cade, who was 3 years younger than them. They all become successful entrepreneur of sort, I think. They created an app called HeatLink. The fmc, Eva, was sold to the pack by her horrible, abusing father. She endured just as much hardship. She is relentless with escaping the pack but she always gave in when they got too near. Like she couldn't keep her legs closed. She hates them but gave in everytime. I found her kind of weak in that sense. The overall plot was fine. Didn't leave me yearning to read the next page. I did clock one of the identity of someone quickly though. Don't want to spoil it. Again, I've read better omegaverse books. The one good thing about the book is one of the lines from Cade on page 218: ""Please Eva. I'm sorry." She staggered back and I followed her on my knees, dragging myself. I didn't care. I just wanted her to hold me."" I'll admit, I melted a little bit for Cade, even though he was probably the worse a-hole out of the bunch.
