Q: How many plants can the TS600 support?
A: It’s best for 1–2 plants depending on strain size and growth stage.
Q: What coverage can I expect?
A: Up to 2x2 ft for veg and 1.5x1.5 ft for flower.
Q: Is this light dimmable?
A: No. The TS600 does not support dimming functions.
Q: Can I use this light outside of the U.S.?
A: No. The TS600 is designed for 110–120V only. Using the wrong voltage can cause damage that is not covered under warranty.
Q: Can I automate the TS600 with a timer?
A: Yes. It is compatible with the Mars Hydro iTime Dual-Plug Timer for app-based On/Off scheduling (dimming not supported).
Q: Does the TS600 emit UV light that could damage my eyes or nearby items? Does it have UV diodes?
A: No, the TS600 does not contain UV diodes. The chip configuration includes 3000K (flowering & yield boost), 5000K (germination support), 660nm red (flowering promotion), and 730nm IR (infrared for enhanced bloom). While there’s no harmful UV, the light is very bright, and Mars Hydro recommends wearing sunglasses or protective eyewear to reduce eye strain when working under LED grow lights.
Q: How does the TS600 perform for seed starting?
A: The TS600 is excellent for seed starting and early growth. For best results in the seedling stage, hang the light at about 24" (60 cm) above your plants at reduced intensity.
Q: I have a TS600 in a 4x4 grow tent and want to expand from 1 DWC bucket to 4. Will two TS600s be enough?
A: Two TS600 units will not fully cover a 4x4 grow tent for multiple mature plants. For 4 buckets, we recommend either upgrading to a higher-performance LED (such as the TS1000, TSW2000, or TS3000) or adding more TS600 units. Always review the PPFD map of the TS600 to match your plant’s light requirements.
