Upgrade your Lenovo server performance with the AMD EPYC 7002 7272 dodeca-core processor. This high-efficiency, multi-core upgrade is designed for demanding data-center workloads, virtualization environments, and enterprise applications. Built for reliability and scalable performance, it delivers a robust blend of core count, clock speed, and cache to accelerate modern workloads without compromising stability. The EPYC 7002 series is engineered to fit enterprise-grade server platforms, enabling a seamless upgrade path that maximizes uptime and reduces total cost of ownership.

  • Blazing multi-core performance — 12 cores and 24 threads provide substantial parallel processing power for virtualization, database operations, analytics, and large-scale workloads.
  • High clock speeds for responsive apps — 2.90 GHz base clock with a 3.20 GHz boost speed delivers strong single-thread performance when you need faster response times for demanding workloads.
  • Generous cache for reduced latency — 64 MB L3 cache helps keep frequently accessed data close to the cores, improving throughput in data-intensive tasks.
  • Efficient, server-grade design — 120 W TDP balances performance with power efficiency, making it suitable for dense data-center deployments and rack systems.
  • Easy-to-upgrade with SP3 socket — Socket SP3 provides a solder-free upgrade path on compatible Lenovo server boards, simplifying installation and minimizing downtime.

  • Carefully place the 12-core AMD EPYC 7002 7272 into the SP3 socket. Do not force the CPU; once aligned, gently seat it into place.
  • Apply a suitable thermal interface material if your cooling solution requires it, reattach the heatsink or cooling assembly, and secure all fasteners.
  • Reconnect power, boot the server, and enter the BIOS/UEFI to confirm CPU detection, enable any required processor features (such as virtualization options), and verify system stability with a stress test or a validated benchmarking suite.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What workloads is this Lenovo EPYC 7002 7272 processor best suited for?
A: It excels in virtualization, database management, ERP, analytics, and other multi-threaded enterprise workloads that benefit from a higher core count and large L3 cache.
  • Q: Is this upgrade compatible with all Lenovo servers?
A: This CPU is designed for SP3 socket-based server platforms. Compatibility depends on the motherboard BIOS and chipset support. Always verify motherboard compatibility and BIOS versions with Lenovo’s official documentation or support resources before upgrading.
  • Q: Do I need to solder anything for this upgrade?
A: No soldering is required. The EPYC 7002 7272 uses the Socket SP3 interface, enabling a straightforward, solder-free upgrade on supported boards.
  • Q: What about cooling and power considerations?
A: With a 120 W TDP, ensure your cooling solution is adequate for sustained workloads and that the system’s power supply can handle peak demands. Proper airflow is essential in dense rack environments to maintain turbo performance and stability.
  • Q: Will this upgrade improve virtualization performance?
A: Yes. The combination of 12 cores, 24 threads, substantial L3 cache, and higher boost speeds enhances multi-VM performance, density, and throughput for virtualization platforms.

Useful, simple room divider
Color: White, Size: 4 Panel Basic
All the pieces were accounted for, and some even had extra pieces, maybe just in case they need changing. It was a bit like putting together a piece of IKEA furniture, though I went slower than usual so as not to make any mistakes. It wasn’t too hard to put together myself, and helps give my studio apt a feeling of space and privacy for my bed. I only wish it had a lovely Japanese design on it, but it does amazingly seem to match the wall color.

JAXPETY Room Divider Panel 6Ft Privacy Screen Wall Divider 88" W x 73" H - 3 Panel Black
Color: Black, Size: 3-Panel, Color: Black, Size: 3-Panel
I was looking for a screen to use while making video calls. I am on a budget, wanted something easy to put together, and would hide my apt in the background. Being on a budget, I thought my purchase qualified for the coupon. I was mistaken but contacted the seller. I received a quick response explaining how the coupon was applied. I was happy with the quick response and explanation which I verified when I went back to the page. The once all put together the screens are light weight and fairly easy to move. they do not seem to be made for easy daily breakdown. However, if you should need to take them apart to move or something, easy to break down. Depending on lighting will depend on if you find them transparent. I don't mind possible vague outlines; I was looking so no real details of my belongings in the background could be seen (shelves; figurines; etc.) My apt living room has no overhead light source, so floor lamps give light. In the 3 photos of 2 of the screens put together; the first is with a lamp in front and back of the screen as well as a tv on. The next has the tv off lamps still on and the screen reflecting the pc monitors. The third is with both lamps and the tv off, monitors on but not as reflective. In the box, you have all the parts you need as well as a small tool and an instruction manual. Item 'bags' are number [though they may come off in the box] to assist with assembly. Now assembly can be easy or hard depending on your abilities and the area you are working in. I have bad knees, so kneeling was not an option for me. My first attempt to put this together, I put the 'feet bases' on while still connecting the top bar. It made it twice as hard, and I stretched the fabric more than was necessary causing wholes around some of the stitching and stretching them a little. As well as causing some stitching to come undone on one of the pictured areas. Once I took off the 'feet bases', I had an easier time to screwing in the top bars. You will still need some hand strength, which I don't have much of, but it is possible. I use the grip things to open pickles jars. Once the screens were assembled, I followed the instructions of tying an outer screen to the inner screen and using the Velcro 'privacy flaps' to complete the connection. I have what I think is low shag carpeting which they were able to stand stably on once I wiggled them into standing straight up and in place. Given these post pandemic times, I am overall happy with both the divider and the price. The 2 things I do not like about the divider is the difficulty putting in the top bar [after connecting the top and sides] and storability when not in use issue I am having. Others with larger space will likely not have the last issue.
