Vinyl LP release. 2009 release of this historic 'lost' album from the first off-shoot from the Parliafunkadelicment Thang. In 1972, after the original line-up of Funkadelic broke up, one of the projects that was embarked upon was an LP by a group called U.S. a single 'Baby I Owe You Something Good' B&W 'I Miss My Baby' appeared that year credited to U.S. music with Funkadelic. An album reached test-pressing stage, but until now no more has been heard of it. U.S. (which stood for United Soul) were from George Clinton's home town of Plainfield, New Jersey and included future Funkadelic members Gary Shider, Cordell and Larry Mosson. The album was produced by Bernie Worrell, Ray Davies and Fuzzy Haskins; it featured many Funkadelic musicians. The original album of five tracks includes some prime era Funkadelic grooves including the outrageous 'Rat Kiss the Cat on the Navel' and 'Be What You Is' which are both up tempo psychedelic funk, as well as the wonderful gospel-imbued vocals of Shider on 'I Miss My Baby' and the opener 'This Broken Heart'. Feels good on a cool day.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:
I was looking for a mock turtle neck T-shirt so I was a bit surprised they were almost like a very light undershirt or sweater., or heavy tee. I like to wear them when it's cool or under a shirt or sweater.
Washability:
Machine wash, dry on warm as it's got spandex in it. Has held up to machine washing without loosing elasticity.
Quality:
Not a highly refined shirt. Quality is ok but could be better.
Weight:
About like a heavy tee shirt or very light undershirt.
Fit:
About like a tee shirt. Loose fit.

The material and tight fitting helps keep you warm…
Size: Large, Color: Green
I am 5’8” tall and weigh in at 172 lbs dressed. These are the most comfortable cold weather shirts I have ever worn. In my humble opinion, what makes these shirts so comfortable and warm is the tight fitting and the soft, fleece like feeling on my skin. I wear and ordered the large size. The shirt is cut so they fit close to one’s body and look great compared to other brands of shirts that end up looking like one is wearing a potato bag. The tight fitting helps keep me feeling warm. No cold air pockets.

Better than expected

Intended to use it as an everyday shirt but the quality we much better than expected for the price so it's now a more special occasion pullover. Nice soft and comfortable material, well constructed and sewn, good loose but not baggy fit, nice heft and substance around the collar. Lightweight but not thin fabric. Excellent value = 5+ stars
