Their goth hit "Across a thousand blades" plus a new 2020 mix. LP contains 11-track remastered album. 2CD at a single-CD price. Black Tape for a Blue Girl's 1989 third album in an expanded edition. Remastered from the original 1/4-inch analog tapes, it sounds amazing! Sue and Oscar's vocals are much more present, the instruments are clear, yet the eleven tracks retain that dreamy, romantic quality you remember from the 80s. Ashes contains angst and trepidation in the lyrics yet also beauty and hopeful melancholia in the mood and music. It's an album of existential, ethereal, and gothic musings. Ashes was the release that brought the band out of the fanzine-based underground - "Across a thousand blades" on CMJ's Certain Damage 16 compilation CD garnered regular airplay nationwide. In fact, many fans mention Ashes was their first exposure to the music of Black Tape for a Blue Girl. The CD's 21 bonus tracks contain demos, acapella versions, plus six complete songs that have never been heard before. The first 5 comprise the unreleased The sound of waves ep - they've been mixed with modern equipment to sound the way songwriter/band-leader Sam Rosenthal imagined in '88. Finishing out the bonus material is the 2020 mix of "Across a thousand blades."?Sam went back to the 1/2-inch analog 8-track tape and used only original 1988 vocals/instruments to create the definitive version of their popular goth-rock song.

Wobbly and Poor Design

Update: nope! Not worth the money. My cat simply brushed against the divider, and it fell, knocking breakable things over. Not safe!
It serves it's purpose, but...the screws were basically glued to the packaging. It took me longer to get the screws out of the packaging than it did to put it together.
The assembly was easy. I am not mechanically inclined by any means, but the instructions, despite being very hard to read (I have over 40 eyes), were pretty simple.
Structurally, it is very wobbly. I think they should have designed it with a middle rod to keep it more stable. I find that the attachments to the rods are wobbly and should have been screwed rather than popped into an attachment hole without reinforcement. That would have also made the room divider more stable.
I have cats, but the material is easy to clean. I took a damp cloth to it, and it came right off. As far as see-through...I think it does a great job of masking theO other side of the room.. I just wish it was a little longer and closer to the floor stand.
I like that it came with extra parts. It's just a very cheaply made item, and I don't think the price for the item reflects how cheaply it is made, how wobbly and unstable it is, or the poor design.

Taking forever but worth it

Love the product. However, trying to take the screws etc out of its box, it’s almost impossible due to the adhesive inside it. I have neck and arm issues so for me it was even more difficult. Adhesive stuck to each washer and screw so I had adhesive all over my hands then I had to get it off of the items.

Great Dividers

Love these!! Many uses. Simple, nice looking, sturdy overall. Well made.
Bought to divide the unsightly storage area from the calm rest area in the basement.
Also, these worked well for our garage party where the dividers let light and air in, though blocked the view of our party area from the cars driving by.
