Meet an empowered little girl who knows all about body boundaries, consent and respect, and her right to say 'No!' when it comes to her personal space.

'No Means No!' endeavours to teach young children that they have a body boundary and people, young and old, need to respect this boundary and ask for consent before entering it.

Using engaging illustrations that focus on familiar scenarios such as greetings, tickling games and bath time, children will come to understand that they have a voice and every right to speak up when they feel unhappy, unsafe or uncomfortable.  A strong, confident voice as a young child converts to a strong, confident pre-teen, teenager and adult.

'No Means No!' can be used as a springboard for ongoing discussions around body autonomy and consent.

Also included is a comprehensive Note to Reader and in-depth Discussion Questions for parents, caregivers and educators to further enhance the learning, and to initiate important conversations around body boundaries, consent and respect.

About the Author- Jayneen Sanders

Jayneen Sanders (aka Jay Dale) is an experienced Australian early years educator, children’s book author and publisher.

She began her teaching career in the 1980s as a primary school teacher in rural Queensland, Australia. She then moved to Melbourne, Victoria, and taught at several inner-city schools.

In 1985, Jayneen had a change of career and became an educational editor and publisher.

In the early 90s, Jayneen and her partner moved to Japan to work as English teachers. They lived and worked in Japan for over three and a half years. In fact, Jayneen's first daughter was born there.

On returning to Australia, Jayneen began working as an educational author/packager. Since then, she has authored and produced numerous award-winning titles for the educational publishing industry. Jayneen is also an accomplished children's book author, writing titles for literacy series such as ZigZags, Totally Kidz, Deadly and Incredible, and a children's picture book series for Penguin.

Jayneen is currently the lead author of the literacy series ‘Engage Literacy’ published by Capstone. She has written over 150 titles for that series.

Jayneen is a mother of three daughters and was a school councillor at her local school for over seven years. This time spent in schools both as a teacher and a parent inspired her to ask the question of her community: 'What are we doing in schools to protect our children from inappropriate touch?' When she realised very little was being done, she decided to use her authoring and publishing skills to write 'Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept' to help parents, carers and teachers to broach this subject and encourage children to speak up.

After the encouraging response to 'Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept', Jayneen realised there was a need to further build upon the idea of prevention education. Jayneen participated in Protective Behaviours professional development and attended numerous conferences on the topic to educate herself in how to keep children safe and provide them with age-appropriate and empowering body safety and consent education.

Jayneen then went on to develop and publish a comprehensive Body Safety and Respectful Relationship Teacher's Resource Kit as well as writing many more children's books on the topics of body safety, consent, respect, gender equality, social and emotional intelligence, and diversity and inclusion.

Jayneen currently works with her partner, Mark Sanders to run Educate2Empower Publishing. Her ongoing passion for the safety and empowerment of children continues today, with new manuscripts and free-to-download resources always in the wings.

Glad we got it! And will most definitely buy it for our future products!
Great experience! We always bought Asurion Protection on a lot of our electronics to be on the cautious side. We recently had one of those electronics give out on its 3rd year, and we luckily had purchased the Asurion Protection Plan. The claims process was easy, took less than 5 minutes. I packaged the electronic the following day and dropped it off with the shipping label they gave me. I received a full refund of my product within hours of having the returned item dropped off. I am glad we bought Asurion Protection for our other electronics, and will continue to buy it for our future products (not just electronics). Very pleased with how fast and reliable they were, and enjoying the comfort of knowing our products are protected.

Protection Paid Off...Super Quick
The protection plan was easy to obtain and even easier to submit a claim. It came in very handy, especially with a device that you know is important but are uncertain if it will endure "the test of time." Knowing I had the Asurion plan to begin with made me more confident to purchase the device. When the claim needed to be filed it was a breeze and the process from start to reimbursement was super quick. Was happy to get the full paid price back and used it to buy a replacement right away. It's a no-brainer, get it with any electronics...peace of mind so worth it!

Refunded my purchase price
I purchased the "TESmart" 2 computer KVM Switch. I always get the added warranty these day for electronics and I am glad I did. It has now been 3 years and the unit has stopped working correctly. It would switch between computers but the mouse and keyboard stopped working for one of the computers. I'm not sure exactly which component stopped working because the keyboard and mouse worked fine for the other computer. I did plugged the mouse and keyboard directly to the computer in question and they worked fine. I believe the "push threw" stopped for my W11 computer, meanwhile, the W7 computer keeps trucking on. I say all that to say this, it's worth paying a few dollars more to get that little bit of extra security on the electronics these days. Unfortunately the prices have gone up on the KVM switches, at least the ones worth buying so I am in search of a new one now. ASURION was easy to work with. It wasn't that much of a hassle. The slight glitch I experienced was their automatic system didn't register my claim correctly. Only mistake I made was making the claim over a weekend. I would say if you make a claim do it during the normal business hours. I was able to chat with an agent during working hours and they were able to remedy the issue quickly. I did have to ship the KVM switch and its components to Asurion but they paid for shipping and once I was able to package and ship the unit back, Asurion refunded my purchase price completely with an Amazon Gift Card. So, all in all, it's all good!
