The PGA56-XLR is a professional-quality snare and tom microphone built for reliability, precision, and stage-ready performance. With a refined black metallic finish and a low-profile grille, this microphone blends into the drum kit while delivering focused, high-impact sound. Its updated swivel joint and quick-release latch provide fast, secure positioning—perfect for fast drum setups, tight stage spaces, and demanding live gigs. Engineered for drum applications, the PGA56 captures the crisp detail of snare and tom hits while rejecting extraneous bleed from adjacent drums and cymbals, allowing your kit to cut through the mix with clarity and punch.

  • Unobtrusive stage presence: The sleek black metallic finish and compact grille design sit discreetly on drums, letting the drummer focus on the groove rather than microphone placement.
  • Fast, secure positioning: A swivel joint with a quick-release latch makes angle adjustments quick and dependable, so you can lock in the perfect position between songs or during a demanding drum solo.
  • Dynamic cardioid pickup: The cardioid pattern concentrates on the intended drum surface, reducing bleed from neighboring drums and overheads for a cleaner, more defined drum sound.
  • Rugged construction for touring: Built to withstand the rigors of live performance, rehearsals, and road travel, ensuring dependable performance night after night.
  • Versatile mounting options: Compatible with standard mic stands and drum-rim clips, enabling flexible placement on snare drums and toms for optimal mic separation and attack clarity.

How to install Shure PGA56-XLR

Step 1: Prepare your drum kit and stand. Attach the PGA56-XLR to a standard mic stand using an appropriate clip, or mount it with a drum-rim clip suited for snare or tom applications. Ensure the stand is stable and positioned where it won’t interfere with playing actions. Step 2: Position for optimum sound. Place the mic close to the surface of the snare or tom, typically 1–2 inches away, angled slightly toward the drum surface to capture attack and body without excessive metal ringing. Use the swivel joint to set the angle and then lock the latch securely. Step 3: Route and connect. Run a balanced XLR cable from the mic to your mixer, audio interface, or stage snake. Since the PGA56 is a dynamic microphone, it does not require phantom power, but a clean, well-shielded cable helps minimize noise. Step 4: Set gain and test. With the drummer playing a typical groove, set the preamp gain so the peaks sit well above noise floor without clipping. Make fine adjustments to mic position if you notice too much bleed from adjacent drums or if the snare hit sounds off. Step 5: Final checks. Perform a quick sound check with cymbal crashes and tom hits to ensure the mic captures the desired snap and body while staying out of interference. Step 6: Ongoing care. After use, inspect the grille for dents and wipe away any moisture. Store the mic in a protective case or sleeve to preserve the finish and ensure the internal components remain pristine for the next session.

Useful, simple room divider
Color: White, Size: 4 Panel Basic
All the pieces were accounted for, and some even had extra pieces, maybe just in case they need changing. It was a bit like putting together a piece of IKEA furniture, though I went slower than usual so as not to make any mistakes. It wasn’t too hard to put together myself, and helps give my studio apt a feeling of space and privacy for my bed. I only wish it had a lovely Japanese design on it, but it does amazingly seem to match the wall color.

JAXPETY Room Divider Panel 6Ft Privacy Screen Wall Divider 88" W x 73" H - 3 Panel Black
Color: Black, Size: 3-Panel, Color: Black, Size: 3-Panel
I was looking for a screen to use while making video calls. I am on a budget, wanted something easy to put together, and would hide my apt in the background. Being on a budget, I thought my purchase qualified for the coupon. I was mistaken but contacted the seller. I received a quick response explaining how the coupon was applied. I was happy with the quick response and explanation which I verified when I went back to the page. The once all put together the screens are light weight and fairly easy to move. they do not seem to be made for easy daily breakdown. However, if you should need to take them apart to move or something, easy to break down. Depending on lighting will depend on if you find them transparent. I don't mind possible vague outlines; I was looking so no real details of my belongings in the background could be seen (shelves; figurines; etc.) My apt living room has no overhead light source, so floor lamps give light. In the 3 photos of 2 of the screens put together; the first is with a lamp in front and back of the screen as well as a tv on. The next has the tv off lamps still on and the screen reflecting the pc monitors. The third is with both lamps and the tv off, monitors on but not as reflective. In the box, you have all the parts you need as well as a small tool and an instruction manual. Item 'bags' are number [though they may come off in the box] to assist with assembly. Now assembly can be easy or hard depending on your abilities and the area you are working in. I have bad knees, so kneeling was not an option for me. My first attempt to put this together, I put the 'feet bases' on while still connecting the top bar. It made it twice as hard, and I stretched the fabric more than was necessary causing wholes around some of the stitching and stretching them a little. As well as causing some stitching to come undone on one of the pictured areas. Once I took off the 'feet bases', I had an easier time to screwing in the top bars. You will still need some hand strength, which I don't have much of, but it is possible. I use the grip things to open pickles jars. Once the screens were assembled, I followed the instructions of tying an outer screen to the inner screen and using the Velcro 'privacy flaps' to complete the connection. I have what I think is low shag carpeting which they were able to stand stably on once I wiggled them into standing straight up and in place. Given these post pandemic times, I am overall happy with both the divider and the price. The 2 things I do not like about the divider is the difficulty putting in the top bar [after connecting the top and sides] and storability when not in use issue I am having. Others with larger space will likely not have the last issue.
