Since forming in 2016, Philadelphia’s indie rock band Mt. Joy — Matt Quinn (vocals, guitar), Sam Cooper (guitar), Jackie Miclau (keys, piano), Sotiris Eliopoulos (drums) and Michael Byrnes (bass) — have grown steadily through years of touring and three acclaimed albums. In 2024, they reached new heights, selling out Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks, the Greek Theater and more on a 70 date North American and European headline tour that drew over 180,000 fans.

Their fourth LP, Hope We Have Fun, captures the highs, lows and tender moments of a life lived on the road. “We pushed ourselves into this crazy world,” says Quinn, reflecting on the band’s journey. “It’s about sticking together in relationships, living a wild lifestyle and just kinda saying, ‘I hope we have fun.’” The album’s 13 tracks showcase Quinn’s soulful vocals and the band’s intricate, rootsy sound.

Today for a change I elected to just add a touch of bourbon caramel syrup to my oat milk -an excellent choice! They give you two attachments which is helpful. At this point, I highly recommend. My next adventure in the kitchen will be Matcha tea. I will use the bamboo whisk for the actual tea. If I decide to add oat milk to the top,(such as for a cold latte) I will use this frother.
