The Allied Telesis x320-11GPT Layer 3 Switch is a purpose-built, enterprise-grade solution designed to empower modern smart buildings with reliable IoT connectivity. With 8 PoE+ ports that can power a wide range of edge devices, a PoE-in input for flexible deployment options, and 2 x 100/1000X SFP uplinks for resilient fiber connections, this switch blends robust performance with streamlined management. Built on the trusted AlliedWare Plus Enterprise OS, it provides advanced routing, security features, and quality of service controls tailored for IoT networks, surveillance, and high-demand edge devices. This device is TAA compliant, which makes it suitable for government and regulated procurement while delivering the scalability needed for growing networks. The x320-11GPT is compact yet feature-rich, enabling centralized power management, PoE passthrough to endpoints, and efficient network segmentation to support smart building applications such as intelligent lighting, access control, IP cameras, and sensor networks. In short, it’s a dependable backbone for IoT-heavy environments where performance, security, and ease of management matter most.

  • Eight PoE+ ports for flexible edge power: Each of the 8 IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant ports delivers PoE+ power to IP cameras, VOIP phones, wireless access points, sensors, and other IoT devices. This enables centralized power management, reduces cable clutter, and supports scalable deployments across multi-floor buildings. With smart power budgeting and per-port management, you can ensure critical devices receive the necessary wattage while keeping energy consumption in check.
  • One PoE-in port for versatile powering options: The 1 x 10/100/1000 PoE-in port allows you to receive PoE power from upstream sources, enabling flexible daisychaining and easier expansion in environments where a central PoE power source is leveraged. This feature simplifies cabling in complex IoT installations and can improve resilience by providing alternative power routes for edge devices.
  • Two SFP uplinks for rapid, scalable connectivity: The 2 x 100/1000X SFP uplinks offer flexible fiber connectivity to core networks, data centers, or distribution layers. These uplinks support distance-appropriate transceivers and provide high-bandwidth paths that help reduce bottlenecks in dense edge networks. The dual uplinks also enable link aggregation options for increased throughput and redundancy.
  • PoE passthrough enables lean power distribution: With PoE passthrough, the x320-11GPT can feed power directly to downstream devices, enabling a simplified and cleaner power architecture in IoT deployments. This capability is especially valuable in scenarios where devices are spread across a building and require PoE power from a single centralized source, minimizing the need for extra power adapters and power outlets.

How to Install Allied Telesis x320-11GPT Layer 3 Switch

Installing the x320-11GPT is designed to be straightforward, allowing you to accelerate deployment in busy building environments while maintaining network reliability and security. Below is a practical, step-by-step guide to help you get the switch up and running with best practices for IoT-heavy networks.

  • Plan your topology and power strategy: Before you connect devices, map out your network segments, VLANs, and device types. Decide which devices will rely on PoE power, and determine which portions of the network will be served by the PoE-in port versus standard power. Establish a PoE budget that aligns with your edge device density to prevent power constraints during peak operation.
  • Prepare the physical site: Install the switch in a ventilated equipment rack or cabinet with adequate airflow. Ensure rack space is reserved away from heat-generating equipment and that wiring channels are clean, labeled, and organized to simplify maintenance and future expansion.
  • Mount and connect power: Secure the switch in the rack and connect it to a suitable power source. If you plan to use PoE-in powering, connect upstream PoE infrastructure to the PoE-in port as designed, or connect to a standard AC supply when PoE is not the primary power method. Verify that all PoE ports are ready for device attachment and that there is no over-subscription in the initial power budget.
  • Install uplinks and edge devices: Insert the appropriate SFP modules for the fiber uplinks and connect them to your core or distribution layer. Attach PoE-capable edge devices—cameras, APs, phones, and sensors—to the 8 PoE+ ports, keeping cable runs tidy and labeled to support efficient troubleshooting and future changes.
  • Initial configuration and security hardening: Access the AlliedWare Plus management interface via the switch’s dedicated management port or its IP address. Configure administrative credentials, enable Layer 3 routing as required, create VLANs for IoT, management, and data traffic, and apply QoS policies to prioritize critical streams. Implement security features such as ACLs, port security, and any device-level authentication to reduce attack surfaces in the IoT environment.
  • PoE passthrough setup and power monitoring: If your network design relies on downstream PoE feeding, enable passthrough on the designated ports. Monitor PoE usage and ensure the budget remains within safe limits. Regularly review port status and device power consumption to prevent outages caused by underpowered devices.
  • Validate performance and interoperability: Run connectivity tests for each edge device, confirm IP addressing and VLAN membership, and verify successful PoE delivery. Validate that routing between VLANs works as expected and that QoS policies deliver priority to time-sensitive traffic such as video and voice data.
  • Documentation and ongoing maintenance: Record the final topology, IP address scheme, VLAN assignments, PoE allocations, and firmware versions. Use AlliedWare Plus management tools to monitor health, log events, and schedule firmware updates to keep security and performance up to date.

No longer as durable
Color: Purple
I have one of these that has made it through 2 dogs but now the bungee is stretched out. It's been such a well loved toy I recently got another one. They've changed the plush fabric. The old one was indestructible. This new one is much thinner and easily torn. I wish they would go back to the old plush fabric.

Great Toy!
Color: Orange
This has been a great toy for our 11 week old German Shepherd. She absolutely loves it. I can get out all of her toys and lay them out with the exception of her "Lizzy" and she will immediately go to her toy bin and get it herself. Needless to say it is her favorite toy. She has had it a week now and she plays with it a lot, chewing and squeaking. It's a pretty amazing toy to have held up this long already and to date shows no sign of wear or damage. Lizzy just keeps going and going.

This item came with plush missingand thread unraveling on one leg
Color: Blue
I bought this toy because my dog spent a week playing with the same toy from Zanies that belonged to a visiting dog. My dog was very gentle with this toy, which he loved, so we decided to find one for him. The toy that arrived had no Zanies label and missing plush on the bottom where the label should have been, plus other bare spots in the area that showed the white mesh beneath. It also had a long thread at the joint of a rear leg so I knotted it at the joint and clipped it to prevent my dog from pulling at it but it's apparent that the sewing is loose and wont last long. The color was also much lighter than the toy he'd been playing with that belonged to the guest dog but I figured it might just be from a different dye lot (it was not bought at Amazon but their local pet store.) I am not convinced this is a real Zanies toy. There were two labels in French and it said it was made in China. I am returning this toy and will get a replacement and see how it looks. If it seems like it will fall apart or is not the real thing I will return it immediately. If it has a label and is in good shape and sewn well at the seams I'll revise this review.

Skye's Absolute Favorite Ball! 🐾
Size: 1 Pack, Style: Ball
Hello, I am Skye! I am an Australian Mountain Doodle puppy, and my humans finally found a ball that can keep up with me! The Benebone Natural Rubber Dog Ball is officially my prized possession. Why I give it five paws: The Perfect Chew: It is made of natural rubber, which means it has this amazing, springy texture that feels so good on my teeth. It's super tough, but it still has a satisfying squish when I chomp down on it. Funky Bounces: Because of the rubber and the design, it doesn't just roll in a boring straight line. When it hits the floor, it bounces all over the place in crazy directions, which makes chasing it so exciting. Easy to Carry: The texture makes it really easy for me to grab with my paws and hold onto in my mouth, even when it gets a little slobbery during a long game of fetch.

So far this is the perfect alternative to other wobble toy feeders. Please make a bigger size!
Size: 1 Pack, Style: Pawbler
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought the Pawbler because the two most popular wobble treat feeders on the market are plastic, and one of my dogs just absolutely destroys those in no time because he bites them and throws them rather then nudging them and then he has plastic cutting him so I am forced to throw away a costly treat toy/dispenser. I thought maybe a rubber one would work out better. So far my dogs love it, it works well spitting out their kibble, seems to be holding up and is easy to clean and feels like a good weight, not a super flimsy toy. I would love to see it made in a slightly larger size, I think this current size is good for medium dogs. It holds just under a cup of small round kibble but I would like to see one that can hold more and is slightly larger in size. I have 4 german shorthaired pointers, my test subject for this toy is mostly my 70 pounder who bites the toys instead of nudging them and throws them across the room, so it is taking a beating. I think for him a larger size would be helpful in deterring that behavior but I also think this may be too small for larger breeds. Durability: So far this toy looks just like when I bought it. It has no punctures or scratches and unscrews without problem. We have only had it a week or so but we use puzzle/toy feeders to feed our dogs lunch every day so it is pretty easy to tell which toys won't last long. Obviously, I can't speak to long-term durability at the moment, but I can say that most toys similar to this end up already scratched or punctured in a few days, so this is already sturdier when compared to what I have tried before.
