A 2xLP discography from the late 90s post-hardcore/early screamo band, The Red Scare. The band existed during an interesting period when hardcore music was evolving and splintering into various sub-genres. They perfected a blistering hardcore that will appeal to fans of Born Against, Heroin, and Universal Order of Armageddon, as well as fans of later hardcore bands like Saetia, Jerome's Dream, City of Caterpillar, and Ampere. This record comes on high end paper, custom gatefold packaging, and limited edition colored vinyl. "Smoky Mountain High" gathers both of the bands LPs, their singles, as well as 4 live songs from their session at WNYU.

Limited edition 2xLP on colored vinyl. LP1 on opaque red and LP2 on ultra clear. Custom gatefold jacket and inner sleeves on 250gsm premium uncoated paper with UV varnish on inside sleeves. Design and layout by Brian Roettinger.

This collection gathers both the 'Capillary Lockdown' and 'Strangers Die Everyday' LPs, all their singles, as well as their live material recorded for WNYU.\

'Smoky Mountain High' is the discography release from the late 90s Knoxville hardcore band, The Red Scare. Formed by college friends Matt Hall (drums), Kip Uhlhorn (guitar/vocals), Abby Wintker (bass), and Adam Ewing (guitar) in August of 1997. In 1998, Jon Asher replaced Adam Ewing on guitar. They began playing locally; building a name for themselves, with short, hyper-energetic sets similar to those of Sleepytime Trio from Virginia and Gravity Records heroes, Heroin, from San Diego, CA. The played and toured extensively with bands like Orchid, Milemarker, Lightning Bolt, The Locust, Nuzzle, Blood Brothers and more. 

All the material on 'Smoky Mountain High" has been sequenced by the band and remastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios. Limited Edition 2xLP on colored vinyl with new, highly custom artwork from Grammy award winning designer and former owner of the DIY label, Hand Held Heart, Brian Roettinger.

But that made the shelf lean amd wobbly so I turned them back over the way they are supposed to be and that made them level and sturdy. I guess I'll paint the little screws.
