AREDS-2 research demonstrated positive results for lutein and zeaxanthin together with antioxidant nutrients and Zinc, which may help defend against free radical damage to the macular region and help support the protective macular pigment of the retina.
Macutec Once Daily is based on these findings. It contains ALL the proven AREDS-2 ingredients recommended by the clinical investigators, in a convenient ONCE DAILY capsule.
Macutec Once Daily also contains a powerful combination of antioxidants. These antioxidants act as “free radical scavengers”. Free radicals are common in the body, arising through a variety of mechanisms. Whilst the body has its own internal defence mechanism to deal with free radicals, some free radicals escape these defences and can cause cellular damage. Research suggests that accumulation of free radical cellular damage over time can result in degeneration of the body’s ideal condition.
