A DAYTON LITERARY PEACE PRIZE FINALIST
“A window into what is possible when we reject the politics of division, trade individualism for interconnectedness and prioritize coming together for the greater good.”—Heather McGhee, author of The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone
"Reads at once like a moral treatise and a rallying manifesto, a call to reflect and lock arms.”—The Washington Post
Solidarity is often invoked, but it is rarely analyzed and poorly understood. Here, two leading activists and thinkers survey the past, present, and future of the concept across borders of nation, identity, and class to ask: how can we build solidarity in an era of staggering inequality, polarization, violence, and ecological catastrophe? Offering a lively and lucid history of the idea—from Ancient Rome through the first European and American socialists and labor organizers, to twenty-first century social movements like Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter—Hunt-Hendrix and Taylor trace the philosophical debates and political struggles that have shaped the modern world.
Looking forward, they argue that a clear understanding of how solidarity is built and sustained, and an awareness of how it has been suppressed, is essential to warding off the many crises of our present: right-wing backlash, irreversible climate damage, widespread alienation, loneliness, and despair. Hunt-Hendrix and Taylor insist that solidarity is both a principle and a practice, one that must be cultivated and institutionalized, so that care for the common good becomes the central aim of politics and social life.

Postpartum Certified!! :)
Size: Medium, Color: Black
I am currently a breast feeding mother who is only 5 weeks post partum. Heading into the summer I needed clothes that fit my changing body and gave me a little confidence that I’ve been lacking recently. This dress has completely done it!!
The material is extremely comfortable and not too tight on my body. It’s long enough to give me the coverage that I’m comfortable with but still makes me feel cute. Without knowing how to shop for or what size my body is at after birth, I listened to the comments and got a medium when I was thinking I might be a large and it fits great! Definitely size down though! I will be getting more!!!

Good looking shirts. Will not disappoint.
Size: Large, Color: Carbon Heather
These shirts are a great quality. They wash great with no shrinkage. They are very comfortable based on my husband’s feedback. They look as advertised. The variation in colors were perfect. The size fits perfectly. My husband is an XL for the long sleeve but a L for the short sleeved Carhartt T-shirts. The neckline is comfortable. Would recommend to others and will be purchasing more.

good durable shirts
Size: 4X-Large, Color: Black
The Carhartt K87 pocket t-shirt is a classic for a reason. The heavyweight cotton material feels durable and high quality, making it great for both work and everyday wear. It holds up well over time and doesn’t feel flimsy like cheaper t-shirts.
The loose fit is one of the standout features—it gives you plenty of room to move and stays comfortable even during long days. The chest pocket is a nice touch for small items, and the overall construction feels solid with minimal twisting after washing.
Comfort-wise, it starts a bit stiff but softens up after a few washes, which is pretty typical for thicker cotton shirts. It’s also available in a wide range of colors, so it’s easy to grab a few and rotate them.
The main downside is the fit can run large and slightly boxy, so you might want to size down depending on how you like your shirts to fit. Some people may also find the heavyweight fabric a bit warm in hot weather.
Overall, it’s a reliable, long-lasting t-shirt that delivers great value for the price and is perfect if you want something durable and simple.

Great quality item!
Size: XX-Large, Color: Black
Great quality & very durable! We love any product made by Carhartt! The size is always great, they do not shrink and the neckline does not stretch out easily, which makes for a great casual wear appearance!
