The release was led by the singles “It’s OK I’m OK,” “2 Hands,” and “Sports Car,” with “Revolving Door” arriving alongside the album. A deluxe edition, So Close to What???, followed later in 2025 and included the hit “Tit for Tat,” which became one of McRae’s biggest chart successes.

So Close to What received generally positive reviews and marked a major commercial step forward, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 and topping charts across multiple countries.
