A cornucopia of recent interior, architectural, and landscape design inspiration from master interior architect and designer Richard Mishaan with Jacqueline Terrebonne, editor in chief of Galerie magazine.

Richard Mishaan is renowned for his masterly integration of textiles, palettes rich in complementary shades, natural materials forged by artisans, surfaces bedecked with talismanic curios, a strategic sense of when and where to place a mirror, and a deep knowledge of both the fine and decorative arts. His many influences, including his upbringing in Colombia, coupled with his idiosyncratic perspective, explain why his sophisticated clientele return repeatedly as their lives evolve.

In Richard Mishaan Design, his working methods are revealed in projects as varied as the conversion of a 400-year-old barn in the Hamptons into a warm, inviting family home and the transformation of an ultra-modern, glass-walled New York City apartment into a comfortable yet sophisticated aerie. Here too are show houses, which he uses as experimental laboratories, working out such diverse design ideas as updating legendary designer Renzo Mongiardino’s aesthetic and achieving a chic look on a tight budget. He has also designed rooms in bespoke hotels, ranging from the Rat Pack–influenced Shelborne South Beach in Miami to the Tcherassi, a renovated 250-year-old mansion in Cartagena, Colombia.

With its exceptional variety and wealth of eclectic, inventive ideas, Richard Mishaan Design provides an endless fount of inspiration.

Cotton Blend Was Just Too thick
Size: 3X-Large, Color: Black
I was surprised by how thick these boxers were, thicker than my jeans, much thicker than my PJs! Thick enough that I could wear them outside the home without jeans. In spite of the thickness, they were soft and very comfortable. The 3XL is a perfect fit on my 5’2” apple shaped, short waisted 215 lb body. The boxer cut helped prevent chafing, a major plus. Menstrual pads, with or without wings, do not adhere to this material, a major minus. Ultimately, feeling like I was wearing jeans to bed or wearing two pairs of pants outside the home, was just too uncomfortable for me. So disappointed because these boxers were such a great and comfortable fit.

This are the best in men’s underwear. Modal fabric is the key.
Color: Black, Size: Small, Color: Black, Size: Small
Well I tried Hanes bikinis small and medium said to be the best seller. Maybe for a young boy but not for me an older man. Tried numerous others and none fit like these. The most comfortable of all I tried probably because the waistband being between mid and low and not so wide a fabric and fit the best. The biggest thing I love about these is the pouch area being just right and the fabric is so soft. Modal is the way to go. Cotton bunches up. Great quality and price. Can’t go wrong with these. Tried boxer briefs and trunks also and all to high waisted even when advertised as low, and the pouch area were bulkier. Edited: The solid colors are ok for casual use only but not for sports. The ones with a fancy design are better. Bigger pouch area and a different style waist band.

Soft, true-fit briefs — great daily comfort, not ideal for workouts
Color: Black, Size: Large
I’ve been wearing these wirarpa modal briefs every day for about a month, and they’ve quickly become my go-to pair for daily wear. I previously owned the same brand’s boxer briefs for over a year, which held up better than any other brand I’ve tried, so I decided to test the brief version this time. Fit and Comfort The sizing was spot-on for me. The waistband is soft, not scratchy, and doesn’t dig in — it stays in place without rolling. The leg openings don’t ride up, and everything stays comfortably supported without tight seams in the wrong spots. I’d almost forgotten how briefs feel after years of wearing boxer briefs, but these reminded me why they’re still worth owning. Fabric and Wearability The modal material is silky and smooth to the touch. It’s perfect for everyday comfort and casual wear, but not the best choice for sports — it’s not highly moisture-wicking, so I wouldn’t use them for workouts or hot outdoor work. Durability After a month of daily washing, there’s no pilling, stretching, or loose stitching at all. If they hold up like my year-old wirarpa boxer briefs, I expect these to last far longer than most big-name brands. Design Notes These come neatly rolled in a sealed bag with no odor or chemical smell — a nice touch that shows some quality control. Bottom Line If you like a soft, lightweight brief that fits true to size and stays comfortable all day, these are a great value. Go for the boxer briefs if you want more coverage or plan to sweat in them, but for regular daily wear, these hit the mark perfectly.

Soft, lightweight, and comfortable
Color: Black,navy,burgundy,brown, Size: Medium
These briefs are soft, lightweight, and very comfortable for everyday wear. The modal microfiber material has a nice silky feel, and they provide plenty of room without feeling bulky. The fit is true to size, which is always a plus when ordering underwear online. Overall, a comfortable and well-made option if you want something soft and easy to wear all day.
