STRING CENTRAL
The cello is one of our favorite instruments here at Nightfox Audio. With ribbon mics, tube preamps, and large diaphragm condenser mics, we meticulously sampled the entire fretboard, at 3-5 unique velocities. We did that with pizzicato, tremolo, long sweeping tones, unpredictable arpeggios, and short staccato hits. Each note is unique, each velocity is unique. We also love the synth string tones of the 70’s so we sampled two of our favorites from that era.
Use all 13 of these textures as solo instruments or blend them in infinite configurations to create brand new hybrid tones.
CREATIVITY

We build virtual instruments with character. There’s something special about the way sound waves interact with strings and wood. Real instruments have unpredictable artifacts, overtones, and harmonics, so we retained all of those nuances to bring you a tool that inspires you to create something truly unique.
