Trichocoronis rivularis is not commonly used in the aquarium hobby, but since it is a wetland plant, it may be possible to grow it in an aquarium or paludarium under the right conditions. Below is a general care guide based on its natural habitat and growth characteristics.

Trichocoronis rivularis Aquarium Care Guide

1. Tank Requirements

  • Tank Size: Medium to large tanks (10 gallons or more) to allow for proper root and leaf growth.
  • Substrate: Nutrient-rich substrate such as aquatic soil, clay-based substrate, or a mix of fine gravel and sand.
  • Placement: Best suited as a background or marginal plant in a riparium, paludarium, or shallow water aquarium.

2. Water Parameters

  • Temperature: 68-82°F (20-28°C)
  • pH Level: 6.5-7.5
  • Hardness: Moderate (5-15 dGH)
  • Water Flow: Prefers slow to moderate water movement.

3. Lighting Requirements

  • Light Intensity: Moderate to high
  • Duration: 8-12 hours per day
  • Type: LED grow lights or full-spectrum fluorescent lights will help promote healthy growth.

4. Growth & Maintenance

  • Growth Rate: Moderate to fast, depending on nutrient levels and lighting.
  • CO₂ Requirement: Optional but beneficial for submerged growth.
  • Fertilization: Requires regular fertilization with liquid fertilizers or root tabs rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
  • Pruning: Trim excess growth to prevent it from overtaking other plants.

5. Propagation

  • Method: Spreads through stem cuttings and rhizomes.
  • Steps: Simply cut a healthy stem with leaves and replant it in the substrate.

6. Compatibility

  • Tank Mates: Suitable for community aquariums with peaceful fish and shrimp. Avoid aggressive fish that may uproot plants.
  • Other Plants: Can be grown with other marginal plants like Anubias, Java Fern, or Vallisneria.

7. Special Considerations

  • Since Trichocoronis rivularis is adapted to wetland environments, it may thrive better in emersed conditions (partially submerged) rather than fully submerged for long periods.
  • It may be better suited for a paludarium setup with high humidity and shallow water rather than a fully aquatic tank.

Saved the day, even at 25°
Style: 18oz
The tire tread was peeling off the tire causing a leak that could not be plugged. Completely flat. It was about 25° outside and the can only dispensed half the contents. Was able to inflate the tire and make it to the shop. So the slime saved the day.

My new go-to for roadside emergencies.
Size: 58pcs, Size: 58pcs
Okay, I recently picked up this 58-in-1 tire repair kit, and I'm really glad I did. I've always been a bit nervous about getting a flat tire, especially on a long trip, and this kit has been a huge relief. The first thing I noticed was how complete it is. It's got everything you could possibly need, from the T-handle reamer to the solid pliers. I really appreciate the feel of the tools—they're not flimsy at all. The handle has a great grip, and the spiral tip on the reamer looks like it will make it easy to clear out a puncture without a lot of hassle. The plugs themselves feel tough and durable, like they'll actually hold up. I haven't had to use it on the road yet (thankfully!), but I did a practice run on an old tire I had. The instructions were easy enough to follow, and the whole process felt manageable. The best part is how compact the entire kit is. It all fits neatly into a little box that I can just toss in my trunk. It doesn't take up any space, and it gives me a real sense of security knowing it's there. It covers so many different vehicles, too, which is a nice bonus. It's definitely a peace-of-mind purchase that I'd recommend to anyone.

Good kit for the $$....
Size: 61pcs
Already saved me once, A good kit for the money, but if your smart, you'll add a tube of rubber cement, seals and lubes the plugs. All the foreign kits seem to not know this..?? Recommended...

61 piece - lots of what you need in a small case
Size: 61pcs
Great for mororcycle trips. I purchased the 61 piece kit in the soft case and its very small and tucks away well in my pannier. I also carry a small battery operated compressor and between the two can handle most repairs if needed. This comes with a small set of players which is a must for pulling nails, screws etc. from your tire. For the price I dont think you can do better than this kit.
