With these systems, the ball head is inserted into the receptacle from below and pulled off again downwards. With the automatic 3-ball locking mechanism, assembly and disassembly can be carried out in no time at all. A big advantage is that with the ball head removed, the trailer coupling is completely invisible. A lock on the ball rod also protects against theft. Thankfully, women no longer have to pay more for retirement plans, and get lower payouts, than men. Amazing how many different, inventive the ways were in the 1960's to keep women out of jobs. Bless Title VII and the attorneys and clients who fought these battles; we stand on their shoulders. The saddest part is the update, at the end of the book showing how protections against gender discrimination in the workplace have weakened in recent years. In particular, it has become difficult, or nearly impossible, to prove that a hostile work environment exists so long as employers pay lip service to certain ideas and practices and hide what's really going on--which we working women KNOW still goes on, unfortunately.
