The Krieghoff Classic "Big Five" Rifle Picatinny Rail
This small section of picatinny rail can be fitted to the Classic "Big Five" rifle. It allows Red Dot Sights to be fitted to the rifle for fast, accurate target acquisition.
The Classic "Big Five" rifle has a spacer piece fitted to the rib as standard, fixed on by two screws. This is removed first and the picatinny rail mount fitted in its place using the same screws. This mount is not supplied with any screws. On the underside of the picatinny rail, there is a protruding recoil lug and the mount fits exactly into the gap in the rib, so once fitted it is not going anywhere. We do suggest using some thread locker adhesive on the screws to prevent recoil from loosening them under recoil.
The picatinny rail is custom made by our team of gun makers. It is made from a section of picatinny blank which conforms to picatinny specification, so red dot sights with picatinny fitting will fit the mount.
