Help! My needle hit the edge of the frame (a needle strike). Why did this happen and how can I prevent it?
This often happens when the selected hoop size in your KIMDOOSKY machine software is larger than the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop’s actual sewing field, or your design was digitized beyond its boundaries. Always select the correct or smaller machine embroidery hoop size and run a trace test before starting your stitching.
What material is the frame itself made of? Is it durable and resistant to warping?
The MaggieFrame magnetic embroidery frame is made of industrial‑grade composite plastic, offering excellent strength and stability. It will not warp or deform even under repeated clamping pressure. This durability ensures long‑term reliability for both high‑speed and multi‑head KIMDOOSKY embroidery machines.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the frame or floated outside of it?
For most embroidery projects, sandwich the fabric together with the stabilizer inside the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop to ensure tension and alignment. For thick or hard‑to‑hoop garments, such as jackets or sweatshirts, floating the stabilizer beneath the bottom frame is also effective on KIMDOOSKY models.
How should I safely store this magnetic frame when not in use? Should the top and bottom pieces be kept separate?
When storing your MaggieFrame magnetic hoop, keep the top and bottom frames snapped together to prevent attracting metal debris. Store in a dry space away from sensitive electronics, cards, or magnetic tools. This simple care preserves magnet strength and maintains hoop alignment for precise embroidery sessions.
