Ever since hearing Pete Tong announce "Chica Wappa" as his Essential New Tune back in 2004, Huntleys + Palmers have been following the bold Alex Smoke (aka Wraetlic) on his musical journey. Coming from Glasgow, the label and the artist have shared a lot of common influences, both from within and of the city. The label has Alex to thank for introducing and strengthening their love for the likes of Villalobos, Rhythm & Sound, Carl Craig, and Actress, amongst others. Although he was a familiar face on the "minimal" scene, he always operated on his own terms and that's a through-line that's been much admired throughout his career. Not only is he comfortable releasing techno on Soma and R&S, he's produced for ballet, films and even the NHS. Over the years, Alex has played at a few seminal parties alongside the likes of Oni Ayhun, James Holden, Helena Hauff, and Veronica Vasicka. It was thus a delight to be approached by him to work on Ad Absurdum together and it's been really exciting to hear it evolve over time. It would be arrogant to compare it to Thom Yorke's The Eraser (2006), but it certainly occupies a similar world. To still be producing innovative and inspiring albums 15 years into a career is no mean feat in this age and it's a great honor to welcome such a musical hero on to the label. As with the last Auntie Flo album, there will also be a special remix package with a swarm of favored producers of the moment. 180 gram vinyl.

Outstanding TV backlight edition

This is an excellent addition to a TV backlight. If you go into the GOVEE app you can sync this device to a TV backlight with a camera. You can add up to five lights.
I recommend this for either a TV backlight or general ambience in the room at night.
UPDATE 2025: I actually have 4 of these.
3 of them I synced with the TV strip light/camera using the GOVEE app for TV watching.
The 4th one I use is on ambience lamp.
These are made very durable/easy to set up. These things are not cheaply made

Look nice and were an easy setup.

Simple and do what they are supposed to do. I use them to add a bit of flare to my desktop setup for online meetings, etc. If I had to nitpick, I'd say cabling is always interesting to route to reduce desk clutter, but I am not going to remove a star for what pretty much has to be. They look nice too.

Good, but missing white (ww) hues hurt performance

I bought these lights just a little over a year ago, and overall I’m pleased with them. I bought them because standard strip lighting does not work well with the shape of my ultra flat TV, something I did not consider on purchasing the TV.
The lighting effects that these can produce are really impressive, at times you can see what appears to be the individual LEDs and the effects are somewhat more granular or pixelated than other lights from GOVEE.
The issue I have with these lights is that they are not able to produce cool, white and warm white, and they do not render colors like other bulbs from GOVEE. Colors on these lights tend to be brighter than every other light source I have from Govee, including their lightbulbs and their floor lamps. Although I knew about the white rendering, I did not realize how annoying it would be to see warm, white and cool, white rendered poorly on these TV lights. If you want to truly seamless and integrated looking product, I suggest you look elsewhere as these aren’t quite there. If you don’t care or are using these in a room where you don’t have any other light sources from Govee, then go for it — you’ll love them.

Stylish way to stay organized!

This tray is a perfect way to keep your everyday items organized and easy to find when you are getting ready for your day. No more wondering where you've put your keys, your glasses, your wallet, your watch or your every day wear jewelry like your wedding ring (if you have to remove it at night due to hands swelling or similar). This tray allows my husband to be ready to go quickly if we decide to spontaneously go somewhere. Its compact enough to fit on a night stand or a dresser, but still provides adequate spaces for your every day pocket items like a multi-tool or pocket knife, spare change, etc. Its well made and stylish too. I am very pleased with this purchase.
