The Lib Tech Chop is just that: chopped, squashed, tubbed, and ready to rocket into the future of wakesurfing. As surf waves get bigger, our boards need to shrink to save us from burying the nose on the way down the wave. The Chop makes this all possible by adding thickness and increasing volume across the board to give you the pace you normally get from a longer board. The most significant advantage of this snub-nosed shorter profile is both on performance and speed, allowing you to generate still fantastic speed as well as incredible pop off the top of the wave, providing you with the essential tools to stomp airs and tricks with ease. A faster, flatter low rocker bottom will also work to provide pace down the line and an easier release on the wave, which, combined with a quad fin style, will allow you to customise the level of hold and release that suits you best. And then it wouldn't be a lib tech product without a crazy concoction internally; the Eco Impacto construction is a mouthful and a lot to breakdown (get complete full nerd below), but it offers a fantasticzing feel on the wave with a wild level of durability, eliminating chances of heel dings and potential knocks on the boats or the racks.

Materials & Construction

  • The Eco Impact Construction  -  Technologically Tougher and Environmentally Nicer (Get out your bunsen burners and beakers people, it's about to get sciency up in here  👇. From the inside out)
    • Nitrogen Cell Foam with Engineered Verticle Cell Structure - A non-toxic, water repellent, high compressions strength core for your surfer. And it's lightweight.
    • Magnesium Fibre on Top - It's dang tough and resilient, built for high impact and resilience.
    • Basalt Fibreglass on Base - A Lib-Tech essential, both strong and eco-friendly, it also adds a dampening property to absorb impacts on choppy water or landings.
    • Hexylon Fiber Foam Skin - Strong, it's all strong, stopping dings and creating an extra vibration-dampening layer.
    • Low VOC Bio Matrix Resin - Eco-Friendly resin, this is more for the guys making your board and the environment, but bonds and allows you to ride as well as any around.
    • G-Glass - The final outer layer
    • Elasto Perimeter Dampening Fiber Rail - Stopping you from dinging the most dingable part of your board, the rail.
  • Don't say we didn't give you a heads-up, but to help, we've added a picture below  👇

Shape

  • Traditional Surf Profile - This traditional width with a standard tail taper gives you a comfortable foundation to surf on that gives you the ability to stand tall or really push into those rails and drive response.
  • Wider Wedge Tail - Provides a wider base in the tail so you can get an explosive pop off the wave.

Rail

  • Dynamic Up Rail - Allows the surfer to feel smooth and precise up the wave and in transition.
  • Hard Edge Exit Rail - Gives you stability and control off the lip and on landing.

Base

  • Low Rocker Bottom - A faster, flatter base design, allowing the board to generate massive down-the-line speed to prepare you for your next move.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
