The Allied Telesis IE340-12GP is a rugged, high-density industrial PoE+ Ethernet switch designed to deliver resilient, secure, and scalable network performance in demanding environments. With 8 PoE+ copper ports and 4 SFP uplinks, it combines power delivery for IP cameras, wireless access points, and IoT devices with robust Layer 3 routing capabilities. Built to withstand harsh industrial settings, this managed switch provides a comprehensive feature-set, concrete security, and reliable performance for critical infrastructure, manufacturing floors, and automated systems. Its 24 Gbps switch fabric and 17.8Mpps forwarding rate ensure smooth handling of real-time traffic, while a 16K MAC address table supports large, dense networks without compromising speed or reach. For industrial networks that demand uptime, precision, and centralized control, the IE340-12GP is a dependable choice that aligns with modern IIoT and smart factory initiatives.

  • High-density PoE+ power on 8 copper ports: Power IP cameras, smart sensors, and wireless access points directly from the switch, reducing cabling complexity and simplifying deployment in industrial buildings and production lines.
  • Flexible fiber with 4 SFP uplinks: Four 100/1000X SFP ports provide versatile, long‑reach connectivity to the core network or distribution layer, enabling resilient, branching network architectures.
  • Industrial-grade performance: A 24 Gbps switch fabric and a 17.8Mpps forwarding rate ensure low latency and consistent packet handling for time-sensitive applications across busy factory floors.
  • Layer 3 managed security and routing: Built-in security and Layer 3 capabilities deliver efficient inter-VLAN routing, policy enforcement, and scalable network segmentation essential for dense industrial deployments.
  • Designed for harsh environments: Engineered to meet industrial requirements with reliable operation in challenging settings, maintaining performance and uptime where it matters most.

Poor durability
My 15lb dog destroyed this within a couple hours. He is small but a might chewer. Not chew proof. The end pieces came off easily which could be a choking hazard. He loved it, the idea is good, but it did not last. If you get it, supervise your dog, only allow for short "teeth brushing" chew time.

Good for medium and large dogs not good for small dogs
Too big for dogs under 15 pounds. Treats are hard to get out of the four corners. My dog can barely pick this up. She weighs 12 pounds. She still found it interesting though trying to dig the treats out that she was unsuccessful. Even after I cut all the little triangle prongs off the four corners the treats are still stuck in there. There is a slot on the side that I can put half of a dental refill in the side and she can eventually get it out so there’s still somewhat of play and challenge received, but not that satisfied to me.
