Written in the aftermath of serious surgery and physical recovery, Everybody Scream is rooted in a period of reckoning for Florence Welch. The album frames screaming not as chaos, but as catharsis. A physical and emotional act tied to survival, celebration, grief, and power. Sonically, it balances the band’s familiar grandeur with darker folk horror textures and sharper rock instincts, drawing from mysticism, poetry, and the body’s limits.
