Experience rich, controlled bass with the Yamaha VXS3SB Subwoofer, engineered to deliver low-frequency enhancement that perfectly complements Yamaha’s VXS and VXC series speakers. This compact, versatile subwoofer is designed for surface, wall, or ceiling mounting, giving you flexible placement options to achieve ideal bass alignment in any room. The VXS3SB combines a paintable enclosure and grille with easy-to-install hardware, ensuring your audio system not only sounds great but also looks great in any décor. Whether you’re outfitting a small home theater, a corporate AV setup, or a live-sound environment, the VXS3SB provides reliable bass performance without dominating your space.

  • Compact, high-clarity bass: The Yamaha VXS3SB delivers precise, punchy bass output (20 W RMS) that enhances dialogue in home theater and adds depth to music or presentations without muddying the overall sound stage.
  • Flexible mounting options: With surface, wall, and ceiling mounting capabilities, this subwoofer integrates discreetly into tight rooms, above seating areas, or along walls where a traditional floor-standing subwoofer would be impractical. The included mounting hardware simplifies installation and ensures a secure fit.
  • Paintable enclosure and grille: The VXS3SB’s sleek black finish is paintable, allowing you to match wall tones or ceiling textures for a seamless, professional look. The paintable grille maintains a clean appearance while safeguarding the driver.
  • Optimized for Yamaha satellite systems: Specifically tuned to pair with Yamaha’s VXS and VXC series satellites, the VXS3SB delivers a cohesive bass response with smooth integration and consistent tonal balance across the full speaker system.
  • Simple integration for versatile setups: Designed to work harmoniously with common amplifiers and AV receivers, the VXS3SB supports straightforward bass management, enabling easy crossover and level adjustments to tailor the bass to room acoustics and personal taste.

The Yamaha VXS3SB stands out for its ability to deliver meaningful low-frequency reinforcement in compact spaces where traditional subs might feel overwhelmed. Its design focuses on clean, controlled bass with minimal distortion, ensuring that the overall sound remains articulate whether you’re listening to music, watching movies, or presenting audio in a conference room. The system is purpose-built to be paired with satellite speakers, providing a dependable companion that fills in the low end without creating phase inconsistencies or bass bleed that can cloud the midrange. By choosing a subwoofer that’s specifically matched to the VXS and VXC line, you can achieve a more natural crossover response, tighter timing, and a more coherent soundstage that immerses listeners without drawing attention away from the main speakers. The paintable enclosure also gives you the opportunity to customize the aesthetic to suit your space, whether you’re blending into a home theater’s dark walls or aligning with a modern, minimalist conference room design. In addition, the included wall/ceiling mounting hardware makes it possible to position the VXS3SB precisely where bass is most effective—behind seating, in corners, or along a back wall—without sacrificing interior design or room flow.

How to install Yamaha VXS3SB

Installing the Yamaha VXS3SB is designed to be straightforward and flexible, allowing you to place the subwoofer exactly where you want bass support. Start by selecting a location that provides optimal bass response while accommodating room aesthetics and safety considerations. If you are mounting on a wall or ceiling, ensure the mounting surface is sturdy and free of obstructions that could interfere with air movement or ventilation. Use the included mounting hardware to attach the appropriate brackets or supports, following any manufacturer weight recommendations and local building codes. Once the subwoofer is secured, connect it to your amplifier or AV receiver using the appropriate signal path. For most setups, a line-level input or LFE connection on the receiver will be used, with the subwoofer’s own volume and crossover settings adjusted to blend with your satellite speakers. After wiring, place or mount the unit in the chosen position, then power on the system and verify bass balance. If the room sounds too boomy or too lean, tweak the crossover frequency, phase alignment, and level control to achieve a smooth, integrated bass response. Finally, if you’re aiming for a seamless aesthetic, consider painting the enclosure and grille to match surrounding walls or ceiling surfaces before final installation.

Very well written, great coping ideas for toddlers!
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
A little backstory - my son hits. It’s not like aggressive but he is 19 months and tends to use his hands when he is frustrated. That being said I am genuinely impressed with this book. It seems long but it’s not. It’s a good length but my toddler was able to sit through the whole thing. It has plenty of pictures for each coping skill, making it one skill per page. My son seemed to really be paying attention and absorbing the book. The author did well putting things in simpler terms while also continuing to repeat why hitting is bad. The author describes many different ways why hitting hurts, makes people sad, hurts them physically and mentally. It’s all inclusive, different kids that all look different. That was a bonus for me. I love books who acknowledge us all. It teaches our children to do the same. Pages are sturdy, they are paper not that waxy laminated material. But they’re thick and the book is structured well. Books are such an important part of children’s development and vocabulary. My son has learned a whole new vocabulary. This book has helped him put faces, pictures to his feelings. It has made those feelings real and seen. Sign me up for all the books like this!

Decent book with good techniques for kids
Format: Paperback
Cute book that my two and a half year old will reach for every now and then. She'll try mimicking what they're doing, like clenching her fists and blowing bubbles, while she reads it. However, she doesn't really use the techniques when she is mad and just telling her "we don't hit when we're mad" and "we don't hit our friends/mama/daddy/etc" has been more effective. But maybe when she's older this will help if she starts hitting again.

Engaging & Effective for toddlers w/Autism!
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
My almost 3 year old was recently diagnosed with Autism. He struggles with transitions and also has a speech delay, which often contributes to big meltdowns when he doesn’t get his way. He’s been a “hitter” since about 18M… and it’s so hard! I know he has big emotions and can’t regulate them easily. This book is FANTASTIC! It’s easy to read and has cute and relatable illustrations. It can be a little repetitive, but that’s what helps get the point across. Let’s face it, my son is also very repetitive, so it seems to resonate with him. It talks about different feelings and emotions, how it’s ok to feel that way, and how to handle them without hitting. For example, you can use your words to ask a grownup for help; you can draw an angry picture; you can squeeze your hands into a ball and release them, etc. There’s different options for different scenarios, and each one is described in a way that toddlers can figure out how to do it themselves. His favorite is to squeeze his hands into a fist, or give his body a big “squeeze hug.” I’ve already caught him doing that a few times instead of slapping me! It’ll take practice (like the book mentions) but I think he’ll be able to self-regulate better with some of these ideas!! I also have some new phrases to use and picked up some sign language. I love the tips for caregivers in the back! If you have a hitter (especially one on the spectrum), you need this! I actually like it better than our other book, Hands Are Not for Hitting. Similar story line, but this one is more detailed and better suited for older toddlers. I highly recommend it!! Hope this helps ☺️
