About This Listing
This listing is for a 28-page illustrated chapbook featuring ten poems accompanied by ten intricate watercolor paintings about some of the unexpected ways the divine shows up in the world. The chapbook is typeset in a font created from my handwriting and all its illustrations were painted with traditional media (watercolor on cotton paper) and then scanned for digitization. (Some of the original illustrations are shown in the listing photos as props, but the original paintings are not included with this listing, only the printed chapbook.) The chapbook measures 6x9 inches and is professionally-printed. It ships to you directly from my small home studio in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

About The Poems
This little collection of poems and paintings has been several years in the making and is my attempt to make sure some form and beauty results from that lonely and excruciating experience of mental anguish and faith re-examination I know I share with many of my raised-Christian friends in the post-2016 landscape.

As someone who has lived in eighteen different houses on three continents and grew up immersed in conservative iterations of both Christianity and Islam, it has been my experience that the way humans talk about, think about, and imagine the divine has far-reaching social consequences that directly affect the lives and the legal rights of the less-powerful in our communities. Put differently: what we enshrine as the ultimate good shapes our choices, our values, and our relationships with our neighbors. For me personally, emancipation from a dehumanizing theology that mimics our planet’s unholy hierarchies required some different lenses through which to imagine God. These poems and paintings are just a few of the lenses that helped me to grow out of a theology that was slowly destroying me.

Stubborn Wrinkles
Color: Black, Size: XX-Large
The shirt came vacuum sealed. After two washings the wrinkles are still there. Beautiful shirt but not wearable yet. I'll try steaming it! It fits well.

Casual Crew Neck Summer Shirt
Color: Denim Blue, Size: XX-Large
Ordered the dark blue. It fits great and looks wonderful on. Very comfortable! Good value, and feels well made. The fabric is just right – not too thin, or thick. I wore it with a navy blazer and beige pants to an outdoor event (shade and sun) and was totally comfortable.

Nice shirt!
Color: Black, Size: Large
When I lost weight and hit my goal I wanted to purchase new clothing. I discovered Coofandy on Amazon and could not be happier. This line of clothing is great. I have purchased a handful of shirts and shorts and liked all of them. This shirt fits well, I tried a medium initially and it was a bit too small so I moved up to a Large. Prior to my weight loss I was always an X-large. Shirt looks nice and fits great. I have this shirt in 3 colors now.
