Engineered around the Intel X710 family, this blade mezzanine NIC delivers reliable, scalable 10 GbE connectivity for blade servers and backplane architectures. Whether you’re consolidating virtualization, accelerating storage networks, or supporting multi-tenant workloads, this dual-port blade card provides the bandwidth, efficiency, and compatibility you need to optimize your infrastructure.

Designed to fit blade and mezzanine backplane deployments, the X710 KR blade daughter card combines rugged reliability with advanced Ethernet features. It brings two independent 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports to your server, enabling flexible network segmentation, efficient traffic handling, and the ability to scale with growing workloads. With optimized drivers, robust offloads, and proven Intel technology, it’s a dependable building block for modern data centers, edge deployments, and enterprise IT environments.

  • Dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports deliver abundant bandwidth for east-west traffic, high-performance virtualization, and fast, low-latency interconnects between blades and storage systems.
  • KR backplane compatibility enables 10GBASE-KR operation over blade backplanes, making it ideal for dense, rack-friendly deployments in data centers and enterprise servers.
  • Intel X710-based architecture provides advanced offloads and features, including Receive Side Scaling (RSS), Transmit Side Scaling (TSSO), VLAN offloads, and large receive offload to reduce CPU utilization and boost throughput.
  • Strong virtualization and cloud-ready capabilities with NIC teaming, SR-IOV, and VMQ support, facilitating multi-tenant environments, virtual machines, and containers with predictable performance.
  • Broad operating system and hypervisor compatibility, with validated drivers for Windows, Linux, VMware ESXi, and other common enterprise platforms, ensuring quick deployment and easy management.

Technical Details of Accortec Intel X710 Dual Port 10Gb KR Blade Network Daughter Card

  • Form factor: Blade mezzanine/NIC card designed for backplane blade servers
  • Ports: 2 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE)
  • Interface: PCI Express (PCIe) data path supporting PCIe 3.0 x8 (typical for blade NICs)
  • Network standards: 10GBASE-KR over blade backplanes (KR copper backplane interface)
  • Controller family: Intel Ethernet X710-based architecture for high-throughput offloads
  • Key technologies: RSS, NIC VLAN offloads, TSO/LRO, MAC offloads, VMQ, SR-IOV (where supported by OS and hypervisor)
  • Compatibility: Supports common Windows, Linux, and VMware driver stacks via Intel-provided drivers
  • Form practicality: Designed for dense blade deployments to maximize rack space and reduce cabling complexity

How to install Accortec Intel X710 Dual Port 10Gb KR Blade Network Daughter Card

  • Power down the server and unplug all power sources. Open the chassis and locate the available PCIe mezzanine slot or blade slot designated for NICs.
  • Align the blade network card with the slot, ensuring proper connector engagement with the backplane or motherboard mezzanine connector.
  • Secure the card using the appropriate retention mechanism or screw, depending on your server chassis design, then close the chassis and reconnect power.
  • Power on the system and enter the operating system. Install the Intel network drivers for the X710-based blade NIC from the official Intel download site or the OS vendor’s repository.
  • Configure the NIC within the OS or hypervisor (for example, set up NIC teams, VLANs, and VMQ/SR-IOV policies). Confirm connectivity by testing link status on both ports and validating throughput between blades or to the network fabric.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What speeds does this blade NIC support? A: It provides two independent 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports (2 x 10GbE) for high-bandwidth data transfers and low-latency interconnects.
  • Q: What does KR mean in the model name? A: KR indicates 10GBASE-KR backplane copper engagement, suitable for blade backplane connectivity in dense server environments.
  • Q: Is this card compatible with my blade server? A: It is designed for blade mezzanine backplanes that support PCIe NICs. Always verify your server’s backplane compatibility and slot availability before purchasing.
  • Q: What virtualization features are supported? A: The card supports NIC teaming, SR-IOV, and VMQ in conjunction with compatible hypervisors and operating systems, enabling efficient virtualization and network isolation.
  • Q: Which operating systems and drivers are needed? A: Intel provides drivers for Windows and Linux, with validated support for VMware ESXi. Ensure you install the latest Intel X710 drivers for best performance and compatibility.
  • Q: Can I use this card with non-Ethernet storage or clustering setups? A: Yes, the 10GbE interfaces can serve diverse storage and clustering configurations provided the network topology and switch fabric are compatible with 10GbE and backplane specifications.

Good quality bags
I'm far from a professional coffee roaster, but I do enjoy it. I used to use just little plastic bags when giving coffee to friends and family, but these work so much better! They are quite thick and just feel like they're quality. I do not have a mylar sealer, but I did figure out that a vacuum heat sealer will work. Just gotta run the heat part a couple times. Probably not as good as a real mylar sealer, but it works. Again, I'm not professional. I like that, being black bags, they include a roll of labels. Hard to write on black, so this was a nice addition. Overall, these are great bags.

The valve allows for the release of carbon dioxide gas while preventing oxygen from entering the bag
Note that you will need a heat sealer to seal these bags. The high-barrier aluminum foil construction of these bags provides excellent protection against moisture, oxygen, and light, which are the primary factors that can degrade the quality and freshness of coffee beans. The side zipper design and heat sealable feature ensure a tight seal, effectively preventing any air from entering or escaping the bag. The inclusion of a valve allows for the release of carbon dioxide gas while preventing oxygen from entering the bag, further preserving the flavor and aroma of the coffee beans. These bags are really great for storing coffee.

Nice design, easy to pour, smooth coffee.
This is a really great design. We've been using this since July of 2024 and it's come in really handy for daily coffee making. Much smoother than a drip machine, and less coffee is needed. This starts the journey coffee making artisans.

Just the perfect size!
Love the size of the carafe. Smaller than expected but that was what I was hoping for. A good 2½ to 3 cups full. Looks modern and Chic and blends in with all the other stainless steel appliances in my kitchen.

It's nice, but the glass is super thin
Everything about this is built really well, except the glass. I'll get into the glass at the end of this, so stick with me. The stand is real heavy and overbuilt if you ask me, but that makes it super stable. The rubber mat on the bottom is a nice touch. The rubber that holds the metal cone on the stand keeps it stable too. The cone works great with #4 coffee filters (I've got a mess of them). They're a bit big but they still fit. I actually use it a lot of times without the stand because I weigh my water as I add it. The cone fits nicely right in the top of the glass. The glass though. It's SUPER thin. I've had a Chemex knock-off that was slightly thicker than this break just from setting it on the counter wrong. I'm just waiting for this thing to shatter on me for no reason. This would be a great unit if that glass wasn't so thin.
