TOUGHEST GEN 2 AMAROK ROOF RACK

Wondering how to make your new Volkswagen Amarok Gen 2 the toughest in the street? Whether for work or adventure, why not take a look at the all-new Wedgetail roof rack range? The Wedgetail roof rack is a new generation roof rack combining the aesthetics and functionality of the new generation composite style assembled roof rack with the traditional strength and proven identity of an Australian Manufacturer to be both light and capable of carrying your gear and the market with strength.

Wedgetail roof racks integrate the all-new Wedge lock glass-reinforced corners that significantly increase the strength of this design, allowing us to offer you a full offroad rating regardless of what road you travel. All Wedgetail roof racks are built and manufactured here in Melbourne and Sydney Australia by longstanding industry veteran, Tradesman Roof Racks to a strong standard you can rely on and to withstand a reasonable load and handle a range of activities.

HOW DOES IT FIT?

The Wedgetail roof rack range to suit the Volkswagen Amarok Gen 2, fits using a small bracket that rivets to the roof of the Amarok using high strength stainless sealed rivets and is sealed to the roof using suitable natural cure silicon. Once these are fitted we attach our Wedge-wing once piece mounting kit to which the Wedgetail platform connects. Whether single or dual cabin, the Wedgetail mounts and legs can be adjusted to suit your vehicle.

The advantages of this kind of mounting system don't just stop with a higher load rating and improved aesthetics, but it also allows for easy removal. The wedgetail racks are wholly removed from the vehicle via four bolts, leaving only the four small brackets sealed to the roof of your Volkswagen Amarok Gen 2.

Every detail is crafted with precision and care to be the perfect fit compared to other Volkswagen Amarok Gen 2 roof racks, to be able to carry gear and equipment suitable for any adventure, to be durable, light and easy to use and install. Visit or contact us to pick your rack, have fitment organised with ease and you can leave happy knowing you've bought the best.

HOW DO ACCESSORIES ATTACH?

The wedgetail rack platform uses sturdy crossbars that run to the left and right of the rack and vehicle. This crossbar incorporates a heavy-duty channel both facing upwards and downwards to support the roof rack. Capable of gearing for any adventure. The channels of the rack allow any range of Wedgetail accessories to be quickly locked in or out with ease; this also means that a large variety of alternative attachments can easily be fitted to the Wedgetail roof racks if necessary.

WIND NOISE?

Wind noise is a problem a lot of other racks struggle with, but Wedgetail has a wind deflector for all vehicles. All Wedgetail roof Racks purchased come standard with a wind deflector you will receive to minimise wind noise as much as possible. As well as this Wedgetail racks also include our unique Wedge-flow crossbar design which is the culmination of years of design experience in minimising wind noise. The Wedgetail roof rack for the Volkswagen Amarok Gen 2 is no different; we understand how frustrating a noisy roof rack can be and have put every effort into to ensuring that the Wedgetail rack is as quiet as it can be.

LOAD RATING?

One thing you can be sure about with a Wedgetail rack is that no matter what road you are on in this country our full load rating will apply to the vehicle. Wedgetail racks do not need to be de-rated in offroad conditions due to the design and construction methods used, including our wedge-lock corners. The load rating for the Wedgetail rack fitted to a Ford Volkswagen Amarok Gen 2 is 100kg.

However, you must be aware of your vehicle's roof loading. This information will be available from Volkswagen. It is essential that you take the weight of the Wedgetail platform off the loaded roof rating of your car, and this will give you your legal carrying capacity. (the reason we don't list this on the website is that it can vary between model variants).

All of our roof racks are covered by a warranty when purchased, ask our team for more information.

Excellent Overview of Carthage
Format: Hardcover
293 pages of text/maps/b&w figures; 8 pages of color plates; 15 pages of end notes (mostly citations); 20 page Bibliography; 6 page Primary Bibliography; 2 page Acknowledgements; 8 area maps; 1 battle map [Cannae]. This is a well written history of Carthage. It provides a one source overview of the background and history of the city/empire. As a reasonably well read layperson, I am familiar at an overview level with the Punic Wars, Rome, Alexander, and the Alexandrine successor states and this book packaged Carthaginian information very well while adding interesting information that I hadn't come across before. I was somewhat disappointed (hence the 4 star rather than 5 star rating) that there was a very limited drill down to a lower level of detail, particularly from such a noted author. However, this is probably an unfair criticism given the limited amount of archeological information available and the millennia of effort that has been spent in pigeonholing Carthage according to the desired perceptions. I recommend the book highly as a well written overview of Carthage.

Great substance; lousy writing.
Format: Kindle
Reviewing this book is not an easy task. Previously I had very limited knowledge of this period of history. With no background, I found the subject spellbinding. The author has done a wonderful job of gathering, and reconciling, ancient sources of mixed reliability. But, in undertaking that task, the text becomes repetitive, difficult to follow and frankly just plain boring. In addition, the writing style and format detracts substantially from the pleasure of learning from the substance. Everything from run-on sentences with mixed subjects to unclear antecedents, to character confusion because of similarity of names and the author's expectation that one can remember which player is on stage at any given moment. My main criticism of the book is that the downsides could have been avoided by application of the skills of a decent editor who instinctively would have addressed and corrected the confusion in presentation that made it a very difficult read. I hope that a cleaned up edition is prepared and the book released again; I think the effort would be worth the result.

This composer has written an amazing piece of music.
I like how an ancient setting coupled with a new style of composing can produce something so very special. The composer is very creative, and the artists do his work justice. A serious-minded classisist will love this DVD.
