Triadic - A brand new book test by award winning creators Chris Wardle and James Ward- Triadic - A three-phase routine with three separate reveals, plus a bonus reveal!
- No fishing, no memory work, no peeks, no cribs, no procedures, no guessing letters, no codes, no misses - a direct hit each time and completely out of your hands!
- Very easy to perform, using just an innocent looking, examinable book, this is clean, direct and baffling!
The instructions are 'Hidden in Plain Sight' in italics in the final two chapters of the book!
An innocent-looking poetry book, which reads and looks like any poetry book. In a stunning, three-phase routine, you divine a significant word from the start of the poem, then go on to describe the features, theme and tone of the chosen poem and finally you reveal a significant word on the final line!
Plus, a bonus reveal has been built in, to give you an alternative ending for table-hopping or walkaround situations or as an extra kicker. This is a pocket-sized book that packs a huge punch! It can be performed in close-up, parlor or on stage - ideal for almost any performing conditions! Multiple principles at play make this effortless to use and a joy for the performer. If you can remember three, simple things you can perform this immediately.
Triadic - Three reveals, super-easy to perform and a hit every time with no fishing whatsoever for letters, clues or page numbers and the spectator holds the book throughout - you are nowhere near them.
"I'm a force book junkie - I love them, I've owned many of the best and now I have another corker to add to the pile. The great advantages of this one are its size - it fits into a back pocket or a handbag - and its style: it appears simply to be a treasured book of poems. It also, crucially, delivers three clear climaxes every time, so if you handle it right it could establish your reputation as a versatile reader of minds."
- British Magic Legend, Geoffrey Durham.
"Triadic - Wow, is it ever devious! I can't wait to perform it!"
- Michael Breggar, magic creator and columnist in 'The Linking Ring' magazine.
"This is a genius concept, executed brilliantly. This poetry book is now a permanent fixture on my coffee table."
- TV and radio presenter and magician, Matt Edmondson.
"Chris Wardle and James Ward's collaboration on TRIADIC is a game-changer for mentalists. This pocket-sized book test includes 65 poems that cover every emotion and occasion, making it the ultimate tool for connecting with any spectator or audience. Highly recommended."
-Rolando Santos, The Linking Ring Magazine.
"TRIADIC: Chris Wardle and James Ward are involved, so the method is ingenious; they have done all of the hard work for you, by craftily putting together a book of real poems such that they give up their secrets easily and cleanly...The pair of creatives offer you ways to present this close up, in walkaround, or to elevate it to parlor performance...a pocket-sized, self-contained, persuasive and simple book test...there's really nothing to dislike."
- Bob Gill, The Magic Circular.

"More" is not "better"
Format: Kindle
I had the privilege of working with Otis during part of his training at the National Cancer Institute at a time that policies on PSA and mammography screening were being newly scrutinized with respect to risk/benefit. The notion that screening might actually do more harm than good was seen as absolute heresy and I fondly remember the wonder and amazement in Otis' eyes as he unraveled to me just how this counter-intuitive idea could be so. Twenty years later, the truths I learned from Otis back then are still not widely appreciated among patients, indeed even doctors more sadly. I eagerly snatched this book up not only because I knew Otis and expected a riveting review of healthcare but because my experience in pharmaceutical development has led me to participate unintentionally in some of the perverse systems of conflicts of interest that characterize our healthcare system. I am at a personal watershed and this book is a strong antidote for what ails me, i.e. I feel emboldened to take my career in the direction of a solution rather than continue to contribute to the problem. Written for the general audience, We Do Harm breaks the ranks of legions of doctors who are invested in perpetuating a broken but remunerative healthcare system by introducing specific and by no means isolated instances where patients have been harmed. This book is at once disparaging of blind trust of one's physician and optimistic in that some stars like Otis and microcosms like Grady Memorial can and do avoid patient-disadvantaged conflicts of interest. This book provides evidence and motivation for every person in every role they engage in in the healthcare system: patient, consumer, provider, insurer, politician. No one can escape the relevance and import of the key message of this book that "more" is not always "better." Until such time, if ever, that our healthcare system operates under transparency, this is a must read for all. That means you! Now! It can't wait! I am a believer that healthcare quality will come from the bottom up and not the top down and this book exemplifies this spirit; read it and be empowered to ask the hard questions as to who is motivated to provide what care and at what personal gain.
