Experience a new standard in enterprise storage with the SOLIDIGM D7-P5810. This 1.60 TB U.2 internal SSD is engineered for the most demanding write-intensive workloads, delivering exceptional performance, endurance, and reliability in data centers, servers, and high-velocity analytics environments. Built on a modern PCIe NVMe 4.0 x4 interface, the D7-P5810 provides the speed and responsiveness required by mission-critical applications while maintaining a compact 15 mm height that fits a wide range of backplanes and drive trays. Whether you are accelerating database transactions, powering real-time analytics streams, or enabling high-throughput logging, this drive is designed to keep data moving at the pace your workloads demand. The combination of Storage Class Memory (SCM) technology and a robust endurance profile positions the D7-P5810 as a scalable solution for long-term enterprise deployments that seek predictable performance under heavy write pressure.

  • Write-intensive endurance: The D7-P5810 is engineered for heavy, sustained writes with endurance up to 50 DWPD, enabling enterprises to sustain aggressive write rates over the drive’s lifespan. This drives down total cost of ownership by reducing maintenance intervals and avoiding premature replacements in write-heavy environments, such as database logging, telemetry capture, and real-time data ingestion pipelines.
  • High-throughput PCIe 4.0 NVMe performance: Leveraging the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, this drive delivers high sequential and random I/O performance to minimize latency spikes during peak workloads. The architecture is optimized for write-intensive operations where rapid data persistence, batch updates, and rapid commit cycles directly influence application responsiveness and throughput.
  • Storage Class Memory (SCM) architecture: The D7-P5810 blends non-volatile storage with memory-like performance characteristics to reduce latency and maintain consistent I/O under heavy load. SCM technology offers improved write latency and sustained throughput, making it well-suited for workloads that demand both rapid data visibility and reliable endurance over time.
  • Enterprise-grade reliability and compatibility: Built to support data-center service levels with robust data integrity, error management, and dependable long-term availability. The drive’s enterprise-grade design integrates with standard management workflows, firmware updates, and monitoring tools to help IT teams maintain service continuity across large fleets of storage devices.
  • U.2 form factor with 15 mm internal height: The standard U.2 interface simplifies integration into servers, storage arrays, and hot-swap backplanes that support NVMe drives. Its 15 mm height aligns with common enterprise trays and backplanes, enabling straightforward installation, maintenance, and scalability in mixed hardware environments.

How to Install SOLIDIGM D7-P5810

Follow these steps to install or replace the SOLIDIGM D7-P5810 in a compatible system, ensuring proper seating, detection, and minimal downtime:

  • Power down the host system completely and unplug from power sources. Ground yourself to prevent static discharge and protect sensitive electronics.
  • Identify a suitable U.2 NVMe slot or backplane connector that supports a 15 mm height drive. Confirm that the chassis or backplane is configured for U.2 NVMe and that no structural clearance issues exist in the drive bay.
  • If using a hot-swap tray, remove the existing drive and prepare the tray for the new SSD. If installing into a fixed slot, release any retaining screws or latching mechanisms per your chassis documentation.
  • Align the D7-P5810 with the U.2 connector, ensuring the connector pins engage properly. Gently slide the drive into the slot until it is fully seated and secured by the backplane or tray mechanism.
  • Reconnect any backplane cables or tray hardware, close the chassis, and reconnect power. Power on the system and enter the BIOS or UEFI to verify that the drive is detected.
  • In the operating system, initialize the new drive, allocate a suitable volume, and format with the preferred file system. For database or analytics workloads, optimize alignment, striping, and block size settings to achieve optimal throughput and endurance.
  • Implement any necessary firmware updates and integrate monitoring software to track health, wear levels, and performance. Regularly reviewSMART attributes and vendor guidance to maintain peak reliability over time.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What does DWPD mean and why is it important? A: DWPD stands for Drive Writes Per Day. It indicates how many times the drive can be written to each day over its warranty period. A higher DWPD, such as up to 50, signals the drive is engineered for sustained, heavy-use workloads common in data centers and mission-critical applications, delivering predictable performance under continuous write pressure.
  • Q: What workloads is the D7-P5810 best suited for? A: It excels in write-intensive environments such as real-time data logging, transaction logging for databases, caching layers, and high-throughput analytics. The combination of SCM technology and PCIe NVMe performance makes it ideal for workloads that require fast data persistence, low latency, and high reliability under sustained load.
  • Q: Is this drive hot-swappable? A: In compatible servers and backplanes, U.2 NVMe drives can be hot-swapped following the system vendor’s procedures. Always follow proper hot-swap guidelines and ensure data is backed up before removing any drive.
  • Q: How do I monitor drive health? A: Use standard operating system disk utilities and any vendor-provided management tools to monitor SMART attributes, wear-leveling, endurance, and overall health. Regular health checks help anticipate potential issues and plan maintenance before disruptions occur.
  • Q: Do I need special software or drivers? A: Most modern operating systems include NVMe drivers. For maximum performance and monitoring, consult your hardware vendor’s documentation for recommended firmware versions and management utilities tailored to SCM-based NVMe drives.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
