The Hyperlite Murray Jr. is the time-proven Shaun Murray design, shrunk down to kids' size so they can ride like the best-known wakeboarder in the sport. Keeping its subtle 3-stage rocker while adding a centre landings spine, the Murray Jr. allows for the same great explosive pop, now landing easier than ever. Adding Hyperlite's traditional monocoque construction, allowing for an overall stronger and stiffer board as well as a variable edge for easier edge hold, and you have a board that is designed specifically to give you a smooth and clean ride.

Rocker Line

  • Subtle 3-Stage Rocker - Hyperlite's subtle 3-stage rocker is the step in the direction of a full-blown 3-stage. A smaller flat spot between your feet before the kick gives you just enough pop to get that 3-stage feeling.

Board Flex

  • Energy Rating(1=Delayed/Stored Energy, 10=Instant Explosiveness) - 7/10

Core Construction

  • Bio 3 Core - The core you want under your feet, from a beginner to pro. Biolite 3 PU foam is wrapped in fibreglass for an added strength to handle punishment but is lighter and more durable than anything in wakeboard history. Welcome to Hyperlite's nuclear deterrent.

Rails/Edges

  • Variable Edge Design - Thicker and rounder between the bindings, thinner and sharper in the tip/tail, gives a catch-free surfy feel through transitions and sharp, precise hold through to the wake.

Laminates

  • Monocoque Construction - An outer glass wrap from the bottom to the top, so the flash line is switched out from the weakest point of the board to the strongest. It is also renowned as the most durable construction in wakeboarding.
  • Layered Bi-Axial Glass - Ensure your board doesn't soften over the years; layered fibreglass will help keep you poppin'.

Base

  • Subtle Centre Landing Spine - a minimal ridge down the board helps pivot the board through edges, as well as softening your landings and saving your knees.

Fins

  • 4 x 0.8" P-Wing Center Fins

Rider Level

  • Riding Ability: Intermediate

Engaging and educational
Format: Paperback
We really enjoyed this book as a family. My children were enthralled with characters and depiction of life in a Longhouse village. We supplemented this book with others about the Iroquois Nation and East Coast Native Americans for our homeschooling unit. It was a hit.

Great Story about Native Americans before Europeans
Format: Paperback
I read this book with my kids (11,8) as part of our unit on Native Americans before colonization. They both really enjoyed it. It helped to humanize history for them and show them that although the cultural practices were different, the characters experienced some of the same feelings, relationship challenges, and personal struggles and triumphs that we experience today.

Wonderful book about pre-European North America
Format: Paperback
This is a great book. There's a massive shortage of children's books written by Natives, especially ones that give a picture of pre-European America, and if you've noticed that, THIS IS THE BOOK YOU'RE LOOKING FOR to fill that hole in your home school curriculum/child's library. It's a "boy book," but my seven year old girl got through it without any complaints except that she wanted me to read ahead so I could tell her if anything scary happened. I would say that the plot is a little slow, the main story pauses a lot for background information or traditional stories. But that's not really a complaint, I don't think it's even worth taking off one star. Almost anything by Joseph Bruchac is worth your money, and this one is no exception.
