An investigation into the deaths of six Aboriginal women and the police responses that left families reeling

'If you think it's hard being a white woman in Australia, try being a black woman.' These were the words that set a team of journalists at the Adelaide Advertiser on an investigation into the tragic deaths of six young Indigenous women.

It was Courtney Hunter-Hebberman who uttered those words, up on stage at an International Women's Day event. A shocking number of Indigenous women die every year by murder or suicide, and Courtney's daughter, Rose, was one of them. Rose's apparent death by suicide at 19, in a run-down backyard shed, had left her mother craving answers - answers the police seemed unable to give her.

Inspired by Courtney's courage and grief, The Advertiser team hoped to shed light on Rose's death and put Courtney's mind at rest. But what they found, as their investigation of one death rolled into another five, was disturbing. Lack of urgency, sloppy searches, poor communication, and assumptions by police were just some of the problems encountered in these cases.

As the team probed further, the answers, or lack thereof, gave rise to even bigger questions about whether Indigenous Australians, especially women, have a voice, and if they are heard when they speak.

Based on the podcast Dying Rose, this is a compelling look at young Indigenous women's vulnerability to danger, and how, when their lives are cut short, their families are left to cope with a grief compounded by seeming prejudice and indifference.

Great Gaming Monitor at an Affordable Price
Size: 32"
Solid Monitor with a high quality image with strong blacks on a VA panel, fantastic 240hz refresh rate, quick response time. Comes with some extra built in UI features and a remote for TV like functions or cloud gaming, which I don't really need, seeing as I am using this exclusively as a PC monitor. But certainly not a downside. Wasn't perfect out of the box, but with a little calibration and optimizing, gaming at 240 FPS looks and feels great. Perfect alongside my old 1440p 144hz monitor as a second monitor, and my new PC. Able to hit those 1440p/240FPS marks with my 7950X3D and 7900XTX GPU. Would recommend at it's current sale price just under $500. If your looking to spend more, consider an OLED option in the $800-1000 range for a screen with comparable specs. Also has Freesync Premium Pro with an effecting range from 60-240FPS for system/titles that are unable to hit that 240hz refresh rate at all times. From my testing this seems most optimal from 120-240 FPS, 60-120 FPS seems a bit less effective. Either way great monitor for the money spent.

Very good monitor, definitely worth the price.
Size: 30Inch
Very good monitor, definitely worth the price. The picture quality and colors are great, and the mount is solid. The only issue is that it should come with a set of universal USB cables. I’m currently using it for a specific project, which required me to buy a particular cable. However, sometimes I would like to connect my laptop to it, but I’m still not sure which type of USB port or cable I need. Additionally, I had to purchase another USB cable to use it with my specific PC.

Very pleased, all 'round
Size: 32Inch
The screw heads are kind of soft, and fail. -0.2 stars, but rounds up to a five. PERFECT monitor for 3d modeling software. Plenty of real estate for the central work area and the associated controls on the side. Nice, clear, bright display (I'm toning down the brightness, next). I don't know the refresh rate and don't feel like looking at the specs, so I can't comment on gaming applications. A comment on the stand, it's not adjustable. I'll see if I can find a wall mount for the four screw-mounts, 80mm apart. My existing mount was 100mm -- more standard. Bizarre statements in the instructions, as is par for the course, but irrelevant. I am 0% unhappy with my purchase. Makes me really look forward to these li'l guys putting out that Type 004 carrier.
