The Clisson is the top wine from Cognettes estate. Its name comes from the name of the lovely village where the estate is based. 

Made with the estate's oldest vines of Melon de Bourgogne grapes, it is matured for more than 3 years in subterrean glass vats before being bottles, giving it an aromatic and structural complexity unmatched by any of the other - nonetheless excellent - wines of the estate.

The 2020 vintage is a good one, featuring more tension than in 2019, a pleasant freshness balancing nicely the usual power and fattiness of this rich white wine. Aromas of ripe yellow fruits with slightly toasted brioche and lemony notes, a smooth and structured mouth with a tense and very long finish are the signature of this gastronomical white wine.

It will be a perfect match with fish like a grilled turbot steak or a sea bream tartare with citrus fruits, with soft-boiled eggs and samphire/Nantes lamb's lettuce salad, or with a nicely cooked poultry served with new potatoes. 

Can be served around 11°C. Great ageing potential.
