While the concept for Rotting Kingdom originated in 2012, the band formed in 2016 and is a melodic death doom quintet. It is comprised of members of various other Kentucky-based metal acts, who have all been friends for years and grew up together performing in other projects. Playing in a death doom style, the thematic focus of the band is the passage of time, loss, death, and the beauty that arises from the interstitial space of the three. The band released a critically acclaimed, self-titled EP in late 2017 and made limited live appearances. Spending the balance of 2018 and early 2019 on writing new material, Rotting Kingdom present an anguished powerhouse of emotive fury with their debut full-length record, "A Deeper Shade of Sorrow."

Love the sheets but GOSH THEY STINK

I have the dark green sheets and bought these for extra cases to match. I would give them 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that they smell absolutely horrible. I am so surprised after reading reviews that more people don’t mention it?! Maybe it’s more prominent in darker colors but I have washed these now 3 different times even with scent beads and still hate the smell. I wish I could accurately describe what it smells like— it’s just not good and for some reason, body heat only exacerbates it and makes the smell even worse and I wake up feeling like a smell like the sheets… which isn’t a good thing.
Besides that, I do really enjoy them. They feel great on your skin and I love the color. I wish the smell didn’t kill them so badly for me ☹️

Comfortable and stays cool

Great pillow. When i opened it, i noticed a strange smell, i assumed its the smell of whatever they use to make the pillow stay cool. You have to fluff it for a good amount of time to make sure the cooling agent spreads well in the foam. Is what i assumed atleast. Its a perfect amount of softness for me. Pair it with some bamboo pillow cases and you got a good night of sleep
