About the Author

Linda Sowa Young Cornish was a special education and kindergarten teacher for twenty-two years in the North Clackamas School District in Hillsboro, Oregon. Now retired, she lives in Hillsboro with her husband H.T. Ted Cornish. They have three daughters. Linda is very active in volunteer community services. In her spare time, she enjoys rigorous athletic workouts four times a week, quilting, watercolors, gardening, travel, and studying American history. She has been active in the American Association of University Women for twenty-six years and is an officer in the Hillsboro United Methodist Women.
