Product Overview

Aminofunctionalized iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles are magnetic nanomaterials modified with amino functional groups via APTS. This material consists of a core of iron oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles and an amino (- NH2) surface modification layer. The aminated surface helps to improve the biocompatibility of the nanoparticles and reduce toxicity to cells. Amino functional groups can be further chemically modified for coupling biological molecules such as drugs, proteins, and nucleic acids. Amino functional groups undergo protonation at different pH values, resulting in nanoparticles having different surface charges in different pH environments.

Heavy metal detection: Through self-assembly technology, these nanoparticles can be modified on indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes for simultaneous exfoliation analysis of Cd (II) and Pb (II).

Environmental monitoring: APTS modified iron oxide nanoparticles can be used for the detection and analysis of heavy metals in environmental samples, such as Cd (II) and Pb (II) ions in seawater samples.

Biomedical applications: Due to the amino functional groups of APTS, these nanoparticles can be further functionalized for the immobilization and coupling of biomolecules, which may have potential applications in biosensing and imaging.

Catalysis: APTS modified surfaces may provide active sites, making these nanoparticles potentially useful in catalytic reactions.
