How One Man Created a Profession--and Entirely Transformed the World of Investing

"The small list of investment books that must grace the library of any serious investor--not to gather dust, but to be opened over and over again--just grew by one. This wonderful compilation of the wit and wisdom of Benjamin Graham is the new addition. Savor it. Learn from it. Treasure it."
John C. Bogle, founder and former Chief Executive, The Vanguard Group

About the Book:

When Benjamin Graham began working on Wall Street in 1914, the center of American finance resembled a lawless frontier. The concept of regulatory laws was in its infancy, the SEC wouldn't see the light of day for 20 years, and many firms hid assets and earnings from nosy outsiders.

And security analysts didn't exist as we know them. They were called "diagnosticians," and they didn't do much analyzing. These investors prided themselves on going with the "feel" of the market, and most of them rarely looked at a financial statement.

Appalled by the lack of research and quantification, Benjamin Graham set out to change all this--and ended up creating the discipline of modern security analysis.

A collection of rare writings by and interviews with one of financial history's most brilliant visionaries, Benjamin Graham, Building a Profession presents Graham's evolution of ideas on security analysis spanning five decades. Articles include:

  • "Should Security Analysts Have a Professional Rating? The Affirmative Case"
    Financial Analysts Journal (1945)
  • "Toward a Science of Security Analysis"
    Financial Analysts Journal (1952)
  • "Inflated Treasuries and Deflated Stockholders: Are Corporations Milking Their Owners?"
    Forbes (1932)
  • "The Future of Financial Analysis"
    Financial Analysts Journal (1963)
  • "Controlling versus Outside Stockholders"
    Virginia Law Weekly (1953)

These pages reveal the revolutionary ideas of a man who didn't so much find his calling as he created it from scratch--and opened the door for entire generations of investors.

Great for dry skin and the whole family
Size: 19 Ounce (Pack of 1)
We use this at home for everyone, including the kids, and it works really well. We all have pretty dry skin, and this cream keeps it hydrated for hours. I apply it after showering and it leaves the skin soft without feeling greasy. It has no strong scent, doesn’t irritate, and hasn’t caused any breakouts. I also feel comfortable using it on my kids because it’s gentle and effective. The jar lasts a long time since a little goes a long way. I would definitely buy it again.

Dry Skin Miracle!
Size: 8 Ounce
I have very dry skin, and around my chin and nose, it flakes and turns red, exposing my inner layer of skin due to severe dryness. I could never seem to hydrate it or get rid of the flakiness. I thought it was just my skin at this point, and I could do nothing to solve it. Now, I've never considered using Cerave; I've always heard negative things about it. However, I've never been a makeup person until now, when I want to try to elevate my look (not to mention I'm always in pain from a lack of hydration). The problem is, my skin is so dry that it cracks the makeup, preventing it from setting well on my face. Another problem is that around my nostrils, the flakiness looks like boogers, nasty. It's incredibly annoying. So I did a little research, and now I'm here. LET ME TELL YOU! This cream is amazing! I love how thick it is, and how a little goes a long way! My face, for the first time in my short life, is not dry! It's not buttery smooth, as in your hand won't glide against my face, but it won't feel the flakiness and roughness of my skin—and that's a game changer! I'm genuinely obsessed with randomly rubbing my face to feel the almost barrier of hydration, especially around my nostrils! I cannot explain the level of amazement I felt when I touched my nostril area to feel practically smooth skin. I felt as if it were a miracle. I've only used it for a week now, keep in mind, and this is how I feel. PLEASE BUY THIS IF YOU'RE LIKE ME! I'M SO HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE, AND IT'S WORTH ALL MY MONEY 🙏

If you use tretinoin this is for you!
Size: 8 Ounce
This moisturizer has been a total game changer for my skin. I’ve been using tretinoin, and my skin became extremely sensitive—dry, irritated, and compromised. After adding this cream into my routine, I noticed a huge difference. It helped restore my skin barrier, and my skin feels calmer, more hydrated, and much less reactive. The ingredients are simple and gentle, which is exactly what sensitive skin needs—nothing unnecessary or irritating. I’ve tried much more expensive moisturizers, and honestly, I would pass on them and stick with this. It performs better for me without the high price tag. I also love how versatile it is—I use it on my face, neck, and body. It’s rich and nourishing without feeling greasy, and it absorbs beautifully. If you have sensitive skin or are using tretinoin, this is definitely worth it.

Effective and wonderful-smelling body wash.
I am picky about body wash, especially fragrances, and this one is one of the best. First and foremost, Method is a eco-friendly brand of bath, body and cleaning products that include non-toxic ingredients and no animal testing. Those things are important to me about a brand. This Simply Nourish body wash includes shea butter, rice milk and coconut to soften skin. The scent is very light and soothing - think a little hint of vanilla, lavender and powder. The scent doesn't linger on your skin or interfere with other fragrances you might use - it just smells really great in the shower. No residue left on the skin, just smoothness, cleanliness and softness.

Outstanding, lightly moisturizing, clean product
Moisturizing, but light...not heavy. Smells like rich, real coconut, but again...not heavy. Lathers well and leaves not residue on skin. I really like the Method body washes and have a bunch of them which I rotate based on the scent I'm in the mood for. This is one of my favorites.
