This volume (Volume II) traces the author's Lashbrook ancestry to John Lashbrooke who was born in England. John's son William Lashbrooke, the author's fifth great-grandfather, who was born in Meeth in Devon, England on 17 October 1717, was the first Lashbrook in the author's lineage to immigrate to the New World and settle in Prince William County, Virginia.
