You might not have come across Melbourne's Kane Ikin before, but he's far from a newcomer. A member of experimental duo Solo Andata, Ikin also released material on Taylor Deupree's influential 12k imprint, working with a variety of different sounds and elements over the last decade. Modern Pressure is a milestone for Ikin, written at a trying time that was the producer's hardest financially but most creative musically. Selling equipment to pay the rent, Ikin wrote track-after-track in quick succession to hone his skills, using the process as both a form of escapism and reflection. The resulting album is a mirror of this struggle, a collision of stomach-churning bass and searing percussion that overwhelms your senses, staying with you long after the music has subsided. Ikin manages to harness a variety of influences, folding the sound of early '80s industrial tapes and no wave with the relentless pulse of house and techno, the intense low-end of hardcore and the eerie mood of John Carpenter's most menacing soundtracks. It's an album with a defined narrative that looks to the past without ever losing sight of the future. Works like a charm

Pricey for a towel holder, but a great value for the money. Like everyone else, I’ve tried all types of towel holders that didn’t work or were tricky to replace the rolls. The ear type that have two spring loaded arms to hold the roll, if you pull too hard the roll pops out and the towels go flying. The type that has 2 arms and a rod that goes through the roll. Pain in the #$@ to detach and reattach for roll changes. Slip on type with a post and silicon fins on the post to hold the towels. Not good for jumbo rolls and the other rolls fits on loosely and sometimes a simple tug to detach a towel gets you a handful as it spins away. So I saw this one, hesitated at the price, but based on reviews decided to give it a spin, ( sorry about the pun). It holds the towels firmly thanks to the springy fins attached to the center post. Sized for all rolls, even the jumbo. Stays anchored to the counter with the suction sups. And, dispenses towels with a simple tug with one hand. No need to hold the roll, this baby does what it says. I like the sleek look and the stainless steel finish. As to the cost, if I had bought this one instead of all its failed predecessors, I would have saved money. Buy it, you won’t be sorry

No regrets on this choice!

This holder not only looks good but works like a charm. Very easy to put together & very sturdy. Holds the paper towel with no slipping or popping off and it does not move around on the counter. There are suction cups on the bottom. Very impressed & worth every penny!!

This holder goes perfect with my decor. It’s very sturdy and makes it easy to tear off one sheet at a time. I’m so glad this is available as an alternative to those old style under the counter top holders. Rey modern looking.
